If you are not in a rush, get it from AliExpress for $41.41 delivered with MEROSSMAY3 coupon.

    • boo…need to add in GST…brings it to AU $45.56

  • I ordered from the previous aliexpress deal and got it delivered thursday last week. Seemed quick

    • How long did it take?

  • We recently installed this (got it from the last deal) and it has been very good. You can set a pin code (works through Google Assistant but haven't try on Homekit) to secure it. You can also set a warning buzzer on closing and adjust the time-out.

    • Nice Whats the time out function do? Ordered this today:)

      • Some garage door openers take a shorter or longer time to open/close. In my case, mine takes about 20 seconds to open but 25 seconds to close. When closing, mine slows down in the final 5 seconds so the door come to a soft close. The time-out function (known as opening time in the app) lets you adjust this time so it does not trigger an error (e.g. an obstruction, etc).

There also other features such as overtime reminder (triggers a notification after the door is open for a set time), overnight reminder (if it was opened at a specified time at night), overtime close (triggers the door to close after a set time) and fixed time close (triggers the door to close at a specified schedule).

  • Any thoughts on a quiet door opener?

    • this is pretty quiet.. the click of the relay can be heard if you're up close

      • Thanks, but I was hoping for a recommendation for a quiet opener. The current chain-puller thingo is very loud, I want something that won't disturb the HnK when I come home from nightshift.

          tl;dr - Merlin

I had one of those noisy doors - it got louder and louder - then started jamming when it was cold… then when it was hot… then all the time. Had a Merlin put in - omg so quiet - but that was new chain / chain guard / motor / and springs. Don't like the FOB on the Merlin tho - too easy to accidently press. This meross hooks up to it easily so just use iPhone / carplay / siri / alexa etc.

          • @mlakmlak: Thanks heaps mate! Really appreciate the advice & explanation.

  • Does anyone know how to connect to steel line st50evob1

  • Anyone know how to connect to bnd mpc-2? I see the two pins it wants me to connect the wires to but they’re very hard to access and there’s no JST connectors that come with the device

    • No idea about that particular opener, but if there is no way to shove it in the connecter (if any) that connects to the PCB, I would just strip the wires and solder/wrap Meross wires there and cover each with electrical tape. However, if you can get your hands on quick splice connectors it would be better and look prettier.

No worries I Managed to find an old PC with a two pin jst connector connected in the motherboard and cut it off and spliced it to the power cables of the meross. Works a charm!

  • I ordered this without checking compatibility with my garage opener. While installing it today it didn't work and I noticed the Meross switch is normally open (NO) while my garage opener is normally closed (NC). Anyone faced the same issue, any workaround? I contacted Meross support and hopefully they will be able to help, I will post updates here if so.

    • Update: got a quick reply from Meross with a diagram. I realised I was connecting the wires to the wrong terminal. I followed the diagram and it worked perfectly. I am using Tuya app on iPhone.
