  • Price seems good compared to other places. Interesting concept, never heard of it before.

  • For some reason I cant vote + on this. Anyone know why? I am logged in.

    • You don't like tea enough

Sounds like a fancy schmancy 'Teasmade' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teasmade) to me… only without the clock…. ;-)

    Another gadget…
What could be easier than a teabag?

Agreed - this seems to be too awkward to fit on a forehead…

  • It's amazing how easily we can be convinced to hand over our money for no apparent gain.

It depends on how much you enjoy and identify the different flavours in quality tea. I am sure there will not be much difference to a kettle if you throw a bag of lipton in, however it will make the brewing process less painful when cooking up that rare Tibetan flower which only grows on sheer cliff faces.

      • Actually I blend my own brews daily.
But an $8 pot & a tea cozi will do the job.
The drip method used might work for coffee, but for tea, the leaves need to swim in order to release more flavour & less of the bitter polyphenolics in a shorter time period.`

And seriously would you trust your hand picked Tieguanyin or Da Hong Pao to a mere machine???

I am happy when I read that people are still keeping the love alive and brewing their own coffee/tea. My personal failing is getting the temperature right for the whiter teas so I am looking forward to the temp control. I do hope the tea has room to move around as you mention.

Ps I had to google polyphenolics so you can have the tea king title.

      • Sounds like Bear Grylls brand tea.

"Damn ran outta water, welp better drink my own…tea"

  • For anyone interested in the funky illuma kettle.

    Its cheaper here

    $108 vs $130

Edit: They have this kettle at Good Guys! Its on like Donkey Kong!!
