    • Played the shit out of podracer and made the exact same mistakes as a kid with upgrading anakins pod instead of upgrading a better pod with greater stats. I’ll never learn baby! It’s a new lap record!

Massive Star Wars fan here but these games are really for a collector rather than a player. They haven't aged well enough to enjoy them on the Switch imo.

    • Agreed.

I'm going to wait until these become cheap on the used Market to add to my collection.

    • I'm having a good time with republic commando. I think it's aged just fine

      Thanks for letting us know

  • This is the one on quake 3 engine right? ie. not Dark Forces II : Jedi Knight?

    • -1

      Yeah, it is.
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is the sequel to Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, which is obviously the sequel to Dark Forces. You then have Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, which is the sequel to Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Because why have consistent naming in the series?

It is somewhat justifiable to drop the number in Jedi Academy though, since you create your own character, rather than play Kyle Katarn (who appears in the game) again.

  • they probably need to 'at least be' remastered if they flogging these old title again

  • Played the absolute stuffing out of JKII.

Oh god, that was like 20 years ago now.

  • I loved the whole Dark Forces series of games, though it's pretty hard to go back and play now. Probably more so on a tiny screen.

I wouldn't purchase them again now at these prices. (though I already have them on Steam, Gog and the OG physical versions)

This is where the Steam deck concept shines. Add external game or play your Steam copy. Nintendo have gotten away with being bastards for far too long.
