Kenwood FP980 Multi Pro Excel Food Processor $368 Delivered @ Amazon.co.uk

40

Just bought this off amazon.co.uk which I thought was a great deal. The lowest price I can find in Australia is around $495 while on Amazon.co.uk after taking the VAT and adding delivery it only works out to be around $368 Aussie.

  • What's this in the link

I don't think your allowed to use referral codes here, unless you cleanly state it and also provide a referral code free link.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, it just looks like ref, would stand for referral…

    • I don't know, My mate sent me this link.

      • Yes sorry the link is a referral, I just confirmed with my mate. You can just go onto the Amazon.co.uk website if you don't wish to use the referral link.
Either way I not bothered I am happy with my purchase.

    • +1

      clean link = http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002LZUEOY/ :)
Not that it matters, you may as well use someones referral link cause it makes someone money.
But that wouldn't usually be fair on others, but I guess if you found the deal and it's successful you deserve to get the credits. :)

  • i guess there is no harm in making someone else happy

Be very careful about this item. We bought one a few years ago and the motor burned out after a year or so. They replaced it but after that it always smelt like it was burning. Eventually the bowl cracked and it became unusable, even though it was never dropped. Also the slicing attachments broke apart and the blender is useless hardly does anything. I even saw a new one on ebay recently for $100 or so.

    • Are you sure its the FP980? I looked on Ebay and it was selling for $598.

It is a different model - what we had was the earlier model. But it was a piece of junk. Unless they've changed their production methods, I wouldn't be too confident about it. And what I have heard about recent changes in Kenwood does not give me confidence.
What i saw on ebay was my model and it was new but not from a shop. So maybe an unwanted gift or something.

    • A 100 dollar product should't be compared with a higher end product.
Specify the exact product model id to give your comments some credibilaty.

(My Panasonic alarm clock doesn't sounds as good as my neighbours Panasonic surround sound system#)

      • I wasn't comparing a $100 product with a higher end product. I never paid $100 for mine - I paid much more but I was commenting that I saw it on ebay for $100, which could imply that it is not really worth the hundreds that I paid. At first I thought it was the same model as mine, but I can see now that it is a later model.
My point still applies - Panasonic are a great brand with generally very reliable products - good TVs, great cordless drills, bread makers, etc. Kenwood used to be the same, but their reputation is not as good now.
Sorry - I don't have the exact model of my 3 year old product.

  • i did the same and bought from amazon uk - so much cheaper than here and just needs a travel adaptor. It works great - very happy with the purchase. Also bought a Kenwood Chef from amazon uk as was cheaper than buying here! no problems with either. shipping is so cheap given how huge and heavy the box is!!! the boxes are huge!!!!

  • Good deal…. a lot cheaper than Oz stock… Wish it was also applicable for the cash back offer …

    • Just noticed in the Myer catalogue one which initially looks similar for $329 after $50 cashback, but it's the Multi Pro Libra - which must be a few models down - on Amazon site, it's only 127 pounds, where this one is 248 pounds and comes with a bunch of extra attachments.

      • Whoa - just got to David Jones' catalogue - FP980 is $699!! = this deal is a great price if you want a fancy food processor.(don't know anything about the model, but the saving is great!)
