Gosh I remember when I picked this up for $100 a couple of years ago from Bose. It's a great little speaker. Superb sound quality!

      • Awesome deal haha love it

Although I didn't get the brown lettering one. I got the white one . Is that not special edition ?

        • The Special Edition has a USB-C charging port as opposed to Micro-USB. It comes in black or silver.

Got 2 in that deal. Wanted to but never got around to selling them for 150/- :-(

Looks like you're getting negs (like myself) from haters who missed out lol Here's an upvote to counter the haters :-P

Yup, same! I picked up two, sold one for $150 and came out in front with a $250 speaker for $50. I was pretty happy with that!

I use mine on the daily but a 20% battery increase certainly isn't a game changer. The original one has a USB-C connection for charging and Luxe Silver as a colour choice (it's definitely not a "Limited Edition" colour) so this is hardly revolutionary in design, specs or price.

    • I got 10 :))) all honoured by Bose

  • This product is going to be a classic. Have one of the early releases going strong close to 7 years.

Good build for a consumer electronic device

Got this 2 years ago when they made a pricing error?

Amazing unit but fk me, I won't want to repeat the sh!t I had to go through getting my order through with them.

    • I remember some people had to pay to get it ordered but good deal though lol

    • $100 last time?

      • Back in Dec 2019 they had a pricing glitch so it got OzBargained pretty quick. Then Bose tried to cancel the orders. Some people got them though because they were smart enough to kick up a stink. I used their own terms and conditions of sale against them when they tried to cancel mine also, and when I threatened them with Fair Trading and quoted them back their own terms of sale, they caved. It wasn't worth the $ it would've cost them if going through Fair Trading since they clearly breached their own terms of sale by accepting payment and issuing an order confirmation.

        • I got mine without any fuss or attempted cancellation.

  • No deal.

These speakers are freaking amazing though. They do sound so good that they're worth the money.

Get a student bean code and make it $150

  • I love my OG Silver SL mini. Knocks any other speaker of a similar size out of the water. My charging dock has decided to pack it in finally tho :(

    • Yeah the OG was great, wish they made the newer models with the dock

  • Link says $229.95.

  • I got one during the price error. But sometimes I have trouble turning it on. I think it's flat so I plug it in and it turns on, only then it tells me it is… 50%.. 60% etc…. charged.

    Anyone else have this problem?

  • Although the price has gone up, I was able to use the website chat function and kindly ask for the reduced price of $199 successfully. If anyone is still keen this is the way.

  • $199 is back

  • Is $199 at Costco if you have membership. Listened to a friend's one and it was pretty good. However didn't buy at Costco as I know the Soundlink Flex is a newer model and JB etc no longer stock the older Mini.

Couldn't find a comprehensive review on the differences though if anyone has both? From what I gather both are USB C charging with 12 hrs battery life. However Mini also has the 3.5mm (input) whereas Flex seems more rugged design and has a strap.

    • The flex has that ability to push sound in whatever position you put it in (kinda like that 360 stuff) where as Mini is only forwards. Flex is waterproof, but sound quality-wise they are the same.

So it really does depend on your purpose of use, do you favor the 3.5mm more and would just leave this on the shelf (mini) or you need to bring it out and placing this in the middle of the area with possible spillages/hits into the pool (flex)
P.S.: The Flex is currently $211 @ MYER, theres also a 15% cashback (cashrewards) later in the day.
