Ender 3 V2 clone but with filament run out sensor. All reviews I've seen rate it highly.

  • Elegoo Neptune 2S would be a better buy at $299 from eBay

Could you give a couple of dot points as to why?

Reviews seem hit and miss. The metal extruder would be the main benefit, but I think the aquila has better support as it is a pure ender 3 V2 clone - any parts or tips/tricks designed for the ender will work on the aquila. Eventually the plastic extruder will probably fail but a metal replacement would be like $15

      • Metal extruder and PEI buildplate for starters..

        Touchscreen rather than knob control

And it has the same hotend as an ender 3 v2.. so all metal upgrade is cheap as chips

What do you guys print with your 3D printer? How often do you use it?

    • I'm interested in a FDM to print power tool battery holders, and things like that for the other tools and he garage.

    • I want to make sim racing gear

    • A few useful things here and there. Such as hooks/attachments for specific purposes (e.g., made proper hooks that slot exactly onto the back of my chair to hold my jackets and shorts).

      Useful for gifts too.

  • Can someone suggest a site to get a few items from thingverse printed?

Probably easiest/cheapest to jump on your local marketplace. Not sure about quality or quantity orders though

      • Apparently Jaycar do it at Broadway so I may try it there.

Not much these days, find your local hackerspace

      • Thanks
