There's a fairly slow decline in the prices, but looking at deal history there seems to be some ups and downs.

RTX 3060. Price appears to be trending upwards rather than downwards, likely due to high demand.

What about RTX3060 which is going around $500? I upgraded from GTX1060 3GB (kinda similar to GTX970) to that and it works well. You can try RTX3060 TI if you are into gaming

The 60 series is currently around the price the 70 series was a couple of year back. I also have a 970 and it was about $450-500 ish when I got it. The 60 series would also be a step up from the 970 I guess. Not sure how much, I haven't been looking due to the ridonculous prices.
