  • Does anyone know how to find all the free books or free movies (doubt there is one) available on google play ?

Maybe set up a crowd-sourcing web application (on a new site), let a "g'zillion" people:

      • visit it (ie, to list any Free eBooks they've stumbled upon on g'Play (etc.) &/or lookup books they -hope- may be Free or browse the -current- list of (reportedly) Free eBooks,

      • let Google put advertising on your site…

      • PROFIT -and- get the list you're looking for, as a side effect (or vice versa) :-)

Of course, to be useful, your site will -also- need to:

      • let users browse or search (eg, using Google) for even -bits- of titles they'd like to grab for Free,

      • keep track of eBook price changes (free books may only be Free for short periods), etc.

If you do this & do make a g'zillion bucks on it, send 10% to me… as your ThinkTank… ;-)

Does anyone else get the popup asking for credit card and Google Wallet details?

    • +1 same with me.

Cannot download the game without sharing credit card details —-> Not Free

    • It's a book but it's free.

      • yeah it is free….

        • Sorry, I meant the book. You need to enter credit card details and it doesn't make sense because there is nothing to pay for because it should be free.

  • Silly geo stuff… did you guys have to enter a UK address? Aren't we technically part of the UK anyway?

Kindle titles for your country are not available at Amazon.co.uk.
Please shop for Kindle titles at Amazon.com.

    • Aren't we technically part of the UK anyway?

      Not last time I checked…

  • I got it on my normal google play account

  • requires credit card details, no thanks

  • The link in the original post should be the US Amazon store not the UK, aussies can't buy kindle books from the UK(without spoofing their location)

    Free on Amazon US http://www.amazon.com/If-Im-Dead-Rachel-ebook/dp/B007KAQKMK/…

    Epub free at Kobo http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/If-Im-Dead-Rachel-Knight/book…

JUST GET THE BOOK VIA Google Play (No ID or credit card details needed… the "price" is "Free" there).

Could someone be using their own discovery of a Free eBook on G'Play to collect credit card details…?

Negging just to give folks a Heads-Up of that possibility. :-)

    —- (a few seconds later…)

    No, I'm not… apparently, I'm BANNED from Negging…

    Are Aussies learning from China?

Better if we'd learned from Sweden or Iceland.

    • Tried from Google Play a/c and priced free but it still asked me for credit card. I ran away.

Thanks Alf, oops I mean melmac77.

My Amazon a/c is a US one (thanks for the free MP3s previously)… "the Kindle title you're trying to purchase is not available in your country: United States." No problem, created Aussie one.

Tried Kobo… doh, there's already 6 ebook readers on my Android! Arghhh… I need one to rule them all. Note: Android software is abit over 5M but PC is over 50M.
