EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC GAMING 12GB Graphics Card $559 Delivered @ BPC Technology

620

Prices are creeping down and this is a cheaper alternative to the Shopping Express deal that's available now with no payment surcharge.

Alternatively if you're looking for something smaller, the Colorful iGame RTX 3060 Mini for $549 is a good buy too.

    Thanks!
Why does this one need 8-pin power and the MSI need 8+6 pin?

    • +9

8+6 pin for a 3060 is unnecessary except for the absolute highest tier cards in this category and even then it's not really needed. So to answer your question, it doesn't matter. The EVGA has a higher TDP while the MSI has a beefier VRM.

I ended up with getting the EVGA a short while back when the first real price drops happened, it can undervolt/overclock like a champ and I have been very satisfied with it's performance. A neutral point from me is the coil whine, it's there, but only barely. Cons with this card are if you don't have a custom fan profile the fans will constantly start themselves up while making a clicking sound when doing so (the fans themselves runs quiet and perform well) and I would've preferred the heat pipes be nickle plated and a fully black back plate for the looks.

      • Thanks for the technical stuff I wouldn't definitely even know about lolz

3060 is still in an awkward position, for 1080p the 6600XT is a better choice (cheaper/faster) and despite RT being better on the 3060 it's still not good enough to be usable in most games.

The 3060 will do 1440p better in games that support DLSS, but with FSR2.0 just being released and RSR being available for the 6600XT, AMD is slowly fighting back on that front too. Plus the 3060ti and 6700XT as slowly coming down in price as well.

Great to see prices coming down, but it's still a mediocre card.

    • Yeah fsr and rsr will definitely bridge the gap in a semi-parallel way (especially rsr which is game-independent).

Will really have to see quality of either of these, and adoption of fsr2.0.

Today dlss definitely has a solid lead. If the games you like support it of course!

It's purely for ray tracing at this point. 3060 can do 60fps ray tracing.

But then, if you like ray tracing that much, chances are, you're ok with paying extra for for the ti variant.

      • 4k 60 fps ray tracing possible?

  • Just out of curiosity, is this card LHR?

    • +1

Doubt you can find any brand new FHR cards anywhere

    • +6

Doesn't really matter, LHR v1 and v2 are pretty much 100% cracked now. Only a matter of time before v3 is solved as well.

How low do you guys believe the this card will become? Coz I never know if it's a good price or not

    • +9

The crypto crash and newer models coming soon might bring it down to RRP, i.e. about $450

    • +4

its going to be almost free soon

    • +1

i bought my 2060 xc black for about $500 pre covid. I’d say around that mark. If you are not in a rush, wait for the next iteration of these cards.

  • Good idea by retailers to clear out all the undesirable models over the last 8 weeks. Now those less desperate will be tempted with better models

    • +2

well if you havent bought by now then you might as well wait for new models plus crypto crash will hopefully mean new models will be rrp finally and in stock

      • +1

There appears to be plenty of stock, unlike the last year or two. The retailers still seem to want top dollar though.

        • Yep, you cannot sell for a good profit when you have made a killing for almost three years.

  • +1

Keep a lookout guys. In the past few days prices have been creeping up on some models by as much as 100+ dollars. Asus TUF 3080 10gb and EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 10gb were both $1399 on BPC Tech a bit more than a week ago and are now listed for $1499+

    • +12

No one will buy it, they can keep trying, these greedy bastards.

      • Right mentality!

    • +2

3080 will become 999 before sep.

  • +11

Will wait until this is under $500, not long now boys

  • +7

I'm irrationally tempted to upgrade off my ancient GTX 960 but I want something beefier to handle 144Hz at 1440p. Just have to remind myself that I have a huge backlog of older games and books to read.

  • Lol, they could not even sell all of them and yet increased the price by $50

  • +1

Why retailers being hardasses with all these shit deals? Looks like we missed our chance to save a mere $50. Now we gotta wait another 2 years

  • miners will hoard this..

    • +1

And get what in return, the market is dead currently.

    • ROI is almost 2 years for this. Lol
That's why gpu market will collapse soon
