what's the selected giftr card from woolies?
OP could mention it, but they (and/or OzBargain) would likely receive not-so-nice letters from Woolworths' lawyers. It's happened before.
guess we will see in couple of days .
OP may post it on his own FB page where is less regulated.
Wow that's a bit extreme from woolies…
Thats why I don't pick Woolies.
can buy these GCs using coles gc?
No, that ship has sailed.
You can with Coles Myer GCs.
But u cant get those with discount anywhere or at least as much as i am aware lol.
@dbui8743: I can.
@haru: Lucky you!!!
Yes
waiting on deals for the TCN Home gift cards. I want to get something from Provincial Home Living and that is the only card I know that has them on there….their stuff is pretty pricey and rarely have any specials on furniture.
You have piqued my interest. What you planning to get?
My interest is also piqued
Arden… you don't want your TV too much higher than your eye line while seated on your couch - this causes eye strain.
@massafiri: It's not that bad. We are a fair distance away from it, so that isn't that bad and the stand for the TV isn't very high. We aren't really in that room watching TV that much anyway. It's more is like the storage, as the one it replaces has lots of storage
@souths123: Cannot have too much storage.
@Yola: yep, and with the other furnishings in the room, I don't want it turning into a "nanna" room, with the general sort of wooden tv entertainment units with shelves and glass doors. I want something with a bit of flair, a bit different. We don't use the room much, but it is in the front of the house and you can see it as soon as you walk in. I've been searching for 6 months for the right thing….too many choices, and I don't want to stuff it up either hahahahaha….so, stasis at this stage…..plus those prices are a bit….well….high.
I wonder when they will make a “they” gift card.
Beep bop boop
Wonder which stores might be on it?
All stores otherwise it's racism.
Was just wondering how long till Him and Her cards are no longer a thing as they arent inclusive.. and all that nonsense.
You had me at Kayo!
Binge/kayo gift cards are 15% off at Costco always from what I've seen
It's currently 25% off at Costco, but that's only really handy if you are near a Costco (or know someone who is near a Costco and is already a member). It looks like the commenter above is based more than 2000 kms from the nearest Costco…
yeah, I might have considered a Costco membership, but nearest is approx 30-40 minutes drive….too far to be bothered. Plus there are only 2 of us, so we don't need bulk buying these days.
You'd have me at eBay,.. but thanks OP
Yeah, it's been a long time since we saw the ebay gift card or swap celebrity card last time.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but we can't use eBay gift cards along with the ongoing eBay deals' codes, can we?
What do you mean?
Ivey only used eBay GC (from shop back) this year. They work with the various 3, 5, 7,10, 12, 17% off codes as well as with $5 monthly voucher.
I’m waiting for eBay gift card and eftpos gift card/ MasterCard gift card
I'm not sure when to next expect an eBay gift card deal, but my bet is the next 10% off Visa / Mastercard gift card deal is 3-4 weeks away at Coles.
Fingers crossed. Enough time to apply for another credit card for churning.
Hope so :)

Is this code for something? Or just a general tool advisory?
I swear the Him card used to have JB hi-fi on it…
They are tcn giftcards
Not ultimate ones
Ultimate Home has JB Hifi. And I believe Him has jb hifi too
If you walk into a typical Coles supermarket and look at the gift card section, you’ll find there’s three gift cards branded as “Him”, and they’re all from different gift card issuers.
Ultimate Him: these gift cards are issued by Heritage Bank and/or Blackhawk Network, and are the gift cards in this deal. As far as I remember, I have never seen them feature JB Hi-Fi as a participating retailer.
TCN Him: these gift cards are issued by The Card Network. They have featured JB Hi-Fi as a participating retailer since at least October 2020, if not earlier.
BananaLab Him: these gift cards are issued by We Wander and occupy a completely different market segment to both Ultimate and TCN gift cards. They’re more focussed on being able to book experiences (e.g. a two course meal at a restaurant, a wine tasting experience at a vineyard, overnight stay at a particular hotel), rather than spending money at a retailer.
Good explanation!
Thanks, didn't realise they were different things, and this had me confused for a bit too.
I was going to mention the following last night, but the issue was that Officeworks’ website was down for maintenance, so I couldn’t confirm which Ultimate gift cards are currently sold at Officeworks…
If any of you are interested in the Ultimate Eats gift cards, you should be able to get Officeworks to price beat Coles' offer whilst this Coles deal is active, meaning you should be able to get those gift cards at a 14.5% discount through Officeworks.
You can ask Officeworks to price beat in-store or over-the-phone, but not online.
If you decide to go in-store, it is best to have a copy of either the paper or digital Coles catalogue with you, so that you’re ready to show the offer the Officeworks staff member.
If you decide to call Officeworks, have the page number of the Coles catalogue ready to give to the staff member.
Having said all of that, please keep in mind that some Officeworks staff seem insistent on denying price beats on gift cards and coming up with random excuses, even though gift cards are not called out as an exclusion in Officeworks’ Price Beat Guarantee. (You have been warned.)
Yeah I've had several low key arguments with staff for price match/price beating gift cards.
Always had the websites, always had evidence, had to basically linger until a more experienced employee came by and was like "Oh yeah no worries…"
Thx OP where is the woolies offer for 20x points. I cant seem to find it. Big w offer has expired
You’ll be able to see it 5pm AEST tomorrow, when the next Woolworths catalogue is publicly released.
If you’re wondering why you’ll need to wait, see this comment.
Thank u
did anyone face issue to add Ultimate digital card to Apple wallet? I bought home & eat from Amazon, none could be added to apple wallet, showing "contact card issuer" at the end, changed different iPhone and Apple ID all failed. sent email to Ultimate support got useless answer to contact wallet provider.
What did you use as the expiry date?
I used myprepaid APP to add, it was auto-filled. also tried to manually add with same info on card, expiry date as "05/25", but still failed. any trick on expire date?
12/29
@WookieMonster: thanks but didn't work, it showed "invalid card“ with all (incorrect) expiry date.
@test8888: Damn.
What happens when you input the PCN into the Ultimate gift card balance check website? Can you see a balance? That website will also tell you the expiry date you need to use to add it to your Apple wallet or to use the card at online retailers.
Besides that, I’m not sure what else is wrong with your Ultimate gift card… or your Apple wallet…
Can you stack these
I need to buy a fridge from TGG or JB
1200…
Would they accept 12x 100 him cards ?
JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys will not accept the Ultimate Him gift cards in this deal, because neither are listed as participating retailers.
You must be thinking of the TCN Him gift card (which doesn’t actually feature The Good Guys).
As a side note, the OzBargain record for the number of Ultimate/TCN gift cards redeemed in one in-store transaction is 81 at JB Hi-Fi, and 20 at The Good Guys.
Holy shit !
One of the staff at my local JB said 70 something was their record on a TV. I used 20 something at TGG on some air cons.
VIC: 15% off, Active&restaurant. I bought 5*$100 restaurant.
That is this week's offer. Above offer starts Wednesday.
The restaurant ones have run out everywhere.
We got some at a north Brisbane store today.
"Ultimate Gift Cards cannot be redeemed online. Each card has a specific set of merchants in which it can be redeemed at."
Only can be used in-store?
Lets say, Can i use 30xActive to buy a new bike in 99bike?
Yes. Read above.
The EFTPOS versions of the Ultimate gift cards can only be redeemed in-store. It cannot be redeemed online and it cannot be exchanged through the gift card issuer for a gift card from a participating retailer. In that case, you’d have to cross your fingers and hope that 99 Bikes will let you use 30x Active gift cards in one transaction in their stores. Be mindful of the fact that some Coles supermarkets still sell these older Ultimate gift cards, even though they began being phased out months ago!
The Visa versions of the Ultimate gift cards (the ones pictured in OP’s post) can be redeemed in-store at some participating retailers, online at some participating retailers and exchanged through the gift card issuer for a gift card from some participating retailers. You’ll need to check the Ultimate gift card page to see how you can use a particular Ultimate gift card at a particular retailer. If we use 99 Bikes as an example (again), you can redeem the Ultimate Active gift card on their website (although you can only redeem one per online transaction) and you can redeem it in their stores too. However, I am not sure whether 99 Bikes sets a limit on the number of Ultimate gift cards you can redeem in one transaction in their stores, so that is something you’ll need to check with them before you go nuts and buy 30x Ultimate gift cards.
If you need help distinguishing between the EFTPOS and Visa versions, have a look at the footnote in the pinned post.
That's annoying. I've just bought one of the EFTPOS cards hoping to use it for kayo. I didn't realise there were different cards.
Hi, just wondering if I could use these giftcards to buy an oakley of 300$ in value? will oakley take multiple giftcards online?
@wookiemonster do you know if the would take multiple giftcards? tried buying stuff online at 99bikes store, would not let me purchase anything above my 100$ giftcard
(FYI, I didn't get a notification for when you tagged me.)
You can only redeem one Ultimate gift card online at participating retailers where they accept it online. I actually cannot think of any retailer that will let you use more than one Visa card in one online transaction.
I doubt you would be able to purchase any 99 Bikes eGift Cards (or Oakley gift cards) online and use the Ultimate gift card as a payment method, because 99 Bikes eGift Cards (and Oakley gift cards) seem to be sold on an external website.
It seems like you cannot redeem any 99 Bikes gift cards or eGift Cards on their online store anyway.
It seems like you can only redeem one Oakley gift card on the Oakley online store, but I could be wrong.
I don't think there is a way to combine multiple small-denomination Ultimate gift cards into one large-denomination Ultimate gift card on the Ultimate gift card website.
You may be able to redeem multiple Ultimate gift cards in-store at 99 Bikes (or Oakley) in one transaction, but that is something you'll need to confirm with the store you go to.
For any of you who are interested in or have the Visa version of the Ultimate Eats (or Ultimate Thanks) gift cards, please note that Menulog was removed from the list of participating retailers sometime this week.
This is not overly surprising to me, as a handful of people within the last few months told me they were having issues redeeming Ultimate Eats (and Ultimate Thanks) gift cards on Menulog.
I have also asked mods to update the pinned comment to reflect this change.
Dang, that's annoying I still have some UE cards and yes I also failed to use it on Menulog about a month or two ago :(
On a side note I also failed to use an EFTPOS version of UE card at my local Grill few weeks back with the $5 burger promo, so hopefully just an isolated incident given it's still listed on the website.
It sounds like that the local Grill'd either:
Changed their EFTPOS machines and forgot to tell Grill'd head office and Ultimate gift cards, or
Is a relatively new location that never registered their EFTPOS machines with Ultimate gift cards, or
Has different EFTPOS machines at the location and you used one of the ones to the one registered with Ultimate gift cards.
It's a problem that crops up from time-to-time, as the way Ultimate gift cards identifies whether you're at a participating location is by checking unique identifiers on the EFTPOS terminal. If Ultimate gift cards are not aware of all the EFTPOS terminals at a given location, you'll run into problems. If you want to get this fixed in the future, you'll need to get Ultimate gift cards and Grill'd head office and the Grill'd location to talk to each other to get the location correctly registered. A good starting point is getting Grill'd to contact the Ultimate gift cards merchant helpline (1800 862 127). It will take a bit of work, but it will mean you and others may be able to redeem Ultimate gift cards at that location in the future.
Just a heads up, I tried to buy the $50 'Ultimate Active' gift card from my local Coles and it would not scan. Staff looked into it and then told me the cards were not a stock item in their system. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get them to look further into it.
Ended up getting the 'eftpos' version to buy something at Anaconda instore, but now means I've lost out on the online 'WELCOME10' discount.
Not a good day for this Ozbargainer.
I had this happen to me with the Coles Mastercard GC. It seemed to be because the card was so old that the expiry date was under the minimum of 3 years.
A suggestion is to go in-store to Anaconda, purchase an Anaconda gift card using your Ultimate gift card (and tell staff you want to use a card to pay for the gift card, not a gift card) and then use the gift card in conjunction with the coupon code on the Anaconda website.
I don’t know whether this actually works, because my assumptions are:
You live near an Anaconda store.
You can use an Ultimate gift card to purchase an Anaconda gift card. Ultimate gift cards operate on the EFTPOS or Visa networks and stores rarely implement restrictions on EFTPOS or Visa cards. I actually cannot think of an exception where you’ll be automatically blocked by a checkout system.
You can use an Anaconda in conjunction with the coupon code. I could not find any T&Cs for the Anaconda gift card or coupon code that would specifically stop you from doing this.
The participating retailers are correct as at 21 May 2022. Please refer to the individual gift card pages for the most up-to-date list of participating retailers and redemption options, as participating retailers and redemption options change approximately every 2-3 weeks.
Menulog, Nando's, Ribs & Burgers, San Churro, Schnitz, Sushi HubI also spotted the older EFTPOS versions of Ultimate Him, Ultimate Active and Ultimate Style gift cards at a Coles supermarket a couple of days ago, even though those EFTPOS gift cards began being phased out many months ago. The EFTPOS gift cards have different participating retailers, and I'm not 100% sure whether they're also included in this deal.1
Lastly, if you have any questions regarding this gift card deal, please check out the FAQ wiki page, as your question may already be answered there.
Mod update Sat 21 : Menulog removed from "Eats" Ultimate Gift card program.
If you need help distinguishing between the EFTPOS and Visa versions of these gift cards, in this photo, the gift card on the left is the EFTPOS version and the gift card on the right is the Visa version. ↩
Fantastic effort, mate
