I have the same thoughts as you on this situation. But whatevs, its ozbargain that is going to lose out via decreased traffic and one less deal people can be happy to have come to ozbargain for. Although i may not be too keen to post more deals with borderline.decisions like this.

It's promoting a hack, so its not a deal its a hack, so that alone makes it move.

The game here is NOT to do anything to increase traffic. Good deals, correct deals, correct etiquette meeting bargain hunters expectations etc are more important.
For example, many would love to see porn, but many don't. We set a standard and thats what we as mods are requested to uphold.
If you want to change things - which you are welcome to try and do, then do it the proper way, discuss this within the forums and get support, so that the mods and board owner can see that this is what the community wants.
Just posting outside the rules and then getting a little shirty because you did it wrong, doesnt change things.
None of the above indicates what my personal feelings are, but that's irrelevant as its the current board rules.
And talking of getting shirty, mods hate it when just because we police the rules, people here then decide its a personal thing. And if we didn't moderate, your posts would be hidden by so much spam they wouldn't even be found in the first place…
So, if, for every complaint, we as mods decided to withdraw from modding for a while, you'd understand the game a little better LOL

Yes I did click on the link, its a "hack" in that its not the way that dropbox intended it to work.
And maybe its not a "hack" in the purest sense of the word. The point si it's not what dropbox intended.

Well in that case you could have messaged me and I would have modified my deal so it was within the guidelines and directly linked to dropbox. Hell, some of the first tasks on this quest are so basic I pretty much could have modified my deal to say "50mb of free dropbox space with 20 seconds of effort!" and then it wouldn't even be a "hack". Then it would be up to people who are keen to go on and get the 1gb.
But yeah, my original intention wasn't to argue this. Ozbargain is your website so feel free to do whatever you want.

Its not my website or that of any of the mods, we are just trying to keep the peace between different beliefs that human nature brings up.

Yes, and then what we wait until you get back to us? I've messaged some of our posters here in the past and they haven't even responded.
And for each infraction or issue we have to message someone. And then there's the added logistics of having to tell each of the other mods, leave this alone until I get a response.

I already invited them, using the correct spelling and syntax… What next? Do they provide clues in my Dropbox folder?
found some of these a bit silly/hard to decipher even with the cheat,i kept creating folders until it acknowledged, took me 3 created folders
once it acknowledges it takes you directly to next clue
Well so far they have given nearly 40 terrabytes of free space. WOW. That is going to cost a bit if people use it. :D
