Hi Everyone
Just letting you know of an issue you may run into when porting from Aldi to Boost mobile.
I recently changed from an Aldi $25 plan to a Boost $300 plan, the issue i ran into was that some mobile numbers were unable to send me messages.
I had tested the simcard in multiple phones, reset the phones, completed replacement simcards with Boost support and even had tickets in with optus to try and fix the issue.
The contacts were able to call me and if they sent a picture message it would arrive around 9hours later, but no actual text messages.
THE FIX.
To fix the issue, i spoke to their customer support on 1800 157 494 , provided my case number and they checked over the troubleshooting, i advised them that i would like to port out to Optus Mobile and then port back into Boost Mobile, they advised me to purchase a $2 simcard for Boost and they will credit my $300 plan back onto the simcard, but i would need to call them back to get that activated. (Please wait 1 hour before swapping from optus to boost) (sms's from those contacts also started working at the 1 hour point once it was on optus)
While going through the activation back to boost, you should purchase the $10 plan so it activates your number, and request they refund you back to the card you paid on.
Now all text messages are coming through correctly from these contacts after 30min of activation to boost.
Quick Summary:
Port from Aldi to Optus then to Boost if you wish to go to boost.
Nice PSA. Glad it worked out in the end.
