  • Just ordered the 55 inch of this. Anyone have experience on delivery lead times at the moment ? It says between 3 and 20 business days.

    • +1

Ordered my 65” last night (Sunday), delivers this Friday.

      • Awesome thanks

      • Are you guys buying for main use as TV or for Wall Art?

        • +1

I think everyone is buying this for their main TV in the lounge area where they don't want a big black screen when it's off.

        • +1

Main use. We do not watch a lot of TV and the art thing is just a bonus.

          • @smartinet: Sorry if I may ask whether you noticed any banding and/or dirty screen effect on your TV?

            • @TheOneWhoKnows: Hasn't arrived yet! As per previous comment, delivers Friday. My mate got one and no such issues.

        • Pretty sure you can buy cheaper digital picture frames.

Don't forget to select BEZEL AND SAVE to purchase a bezel (the frame accessory) in the colour of your choice to get the 55" TV plus BEZEL delivered for $1428.

Bezel is usually $129 but the deal knocks another $100 off the price.

    • +6

Just to clarify, the bezel and save means you get the additional bezel (on the 55" at least) for just $29 instead of $129. Given they are hard to find in stock at stores and it helps give the Frame its art look, it is probably a worthy addition for the low additional cost.

      • Didn't see that or would have partaken in the deal. EDIT: Might not be in the EPP portal I used, as they have different offers.

Also if you sign up for their newsletter you get a $50 off code, pretty sure it would work. I got too trigger happy and ordered before the email came as some reports said it took days to arrive.

    • Hi,how's quality and overall experience? looking to get 65' but that one box kinda not making sense to me without TV table i.e just wall hang
also that Bezel you said , is it $29 ??? coz upon checking it still $149 on their website, ta

      • I've not yet got it to be able to report back. However, research shows it's pretty well received and FWIW when I was asking in the store about it, a random customer came and tracked me down as I was leaving to tell me how good he'd found it and was actually buying a second one for a different room. Not often that happens.

Re the Bezel and save, it is a link under the model number you can click on that allows you to add the Bezel and it takes $100 off the total order. It actually splits the discount with an $80 off TV and $20 off the Bezel, but to all intents and purposes it reduces price of bezel to $29 (on the 55"). Presume it would go down to $49 on the 65" if it's a consistent $100 off.

        Edit
Adding that it shows the same $100 discount on the 65" TV Bezel and Save, split the same way ($80 off TV and $20 off bezel).
Also adding that you only see the discount once you've added your selections to the cart and then gone to check out.
Screen shot of where the Bezel and save link can be found in a comment below.

      • Also forgot to reply to your comment on the separate TV box. Having got my main (non Frame) TV in the lounge wall mounted and the cables through a channel behind the wall, there is the challenge of connecting multiple devices to the TV. Each cable has to go from the device (eg Xbox, Foxtel IQ, Google TV or whatever) through the channel to the back of the TV on the wall. When I want to angle the TV or move it away from the wall it will pull the cables too, meaning they have to be pretty long.

What the box allows for is just one relatively slim cable to go from the TV down to a box you can store on or in an entertainment unit, and then connect the other devices to that. It's actually a neater solution, notwithstanding the fact it creates another separate device to store. Also allows for the TV to be mounted much flusher to the wall I think, which is better for the artwork aesthetic too.

    • Could you please point me to this deal? I'm not seeing it on the site.

      • +1

Sorry missed your reply. When you click on the deal via the OP there is the option to choose the different size TV's (in case you are talking about the 55" deal). However, if you are talking about the Bezel & Save deal it is a hyperlink just under the model number literally saying Bezel & Save. I'll try and post a link to a screenshot.

Edit removed direct link as it didn't work. Will try screenshot

        • Thanks, I'll have another look!

          • @chrisandrew: Does this link work for the screenshot?

            • +1

@smifter: Yes, that's perfect. Thank you. In the meantime, I'd already found it with your guidance. Reviews on the quality and value of these bezels and general speed/UX/UI of the TV interface aren't overly encouraging, though. :/

              • @chrisandrew: At least for $29 it is worth a try without too much risk. And yeah re the TV UX I think that is a downside but on many occasions now I bypass (a much older Samusung TV's) UX entirely and just connect a Google TV box or Amazon Fire TV dongle etc. Plenty of ways to get a 'smart TV' UX if it becomes too bad. The artwork function and overall TV viewing should be worth it at the discounted price imo. But it's all relative obviously.

  • So HDMI 2.1 in 1 of the ports?

  • What would these be like as an outdoor wall mounted TV? In the market for an TV for the outdoor patio area (undercover)

    • +1

It would most likely die. It literally happened recently to another OZb member. You need a TV specifically designed for outdoors.

Except "outdoor TV"s seem like a rort. The equivalent Indoor Terrace TV's are 3-4x cheaper.

      • Further down you'll see an example of an outdoor TV (with a lot more detail) than the OPs.

A cheap $500 55" panel will do the trick outdoors if covered from elements. It is a gamble, but it is better then spending a fortune on a purpose built unit.

  • Anyone got a good price on the 43" or 50" version? I don't want my art to be too big…

Actually found a good price at a terrible store (countdown deals) Will try price match haha

  • How is this compared to the neo QLED QN series?

    • Don't know but that is $1100 more for a 65"

  • +1

$1424 at the Samsung education store

  • +1

I have one of these bought in 2017. They are great TV's and I have not had any issue so far. The Art store keeps getting updated once every few months so you get new pictures regularly. Also, you can put in your HD quality pics. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different.

  • 2022 65 inch model $2150 delivered free to Metro areas from Appliance Central.

    • Good price, still, $650 extra for an anti-reflective coating seems a bit steep.

      • Agree, not justified.

  • Mine arrived Friday, got it on the wall on Saturday. Relatively simple process to mount but you'll need help with the 65" at least.

Great TV, good image, vibrant colours, the picture frame feature is neat and keeps the kids entertained.

The one connect box is brilliant, meaning only one slim cable through the wall. Note that the cable isn't rated for in-wall use, but you can pick up this kit from Bunnings as I did, which gives you an approved way of routing the cable through the wall: https://www.bunnings.com.au/cableclear-50mm-wall-cavity-cabl…

Overall, pretty happy with this purchase at $1425.

    • DIY or paid for the wall mount install ?

      • DIY with a mate. Very straight-forward.
