Posted last month at $99 now $50. My local store had one left.

Imo a pretty good price for a full fly pop up tent. 3 person but actually bigger than my old cheap 4 person dome tent from Big W. Heaps of ventilation with windows/openings on all four sides. Just picked one up last night and tried setting it up today, really quick and simple to set up. Awning is pretty decent for this size of tent too.

BCF Video of Set Up Process(youtube.com)

Downside is it's definitely heavier than a normal tent of comparable size and because of the pop up mechanism it's quite long too. Just fits in the width of my hatchback boot but only behind the wheel wells. Big enough to fit a queen size airbed with 20-30cm to spare and tall enough to almost stand in. (L244 x W183 x H147cm)

They have the 6 person instant up connectable tent on clearance too but it's only got a partial rain fly, and a lot of the reviews trash it. Probably wouldn't recommend unless you really want to connect multiple. Connection gimmick seems to be unreliable as well as on Amazon there are numerous reports of leaking between the connections & the zipper not lining up.

No Shipping and does show out of stock everywhere in and around Brisbane (also Greenslopes) on their webpage.

    • That’s a shame. There’s a few around me on the central coast nsw.

  • I paid what for it last month?? Ripped!!

Return it and buy two of these!

(unless by 'ripped' you are referring to the tent)

    • I had a similar thing happen recently with Sparesbox. Bought $900 of parts and the 2 days later there was a 20% off sale.

I sent a pleasant email asking for the difference to be refunded and they did.

      Give BCF a try.

For anyone on the lookout, Decathlon has a lot (all?) of their tents on display, and the in-store prices (Auburn anyway) are way lower than online.

For example this one is $269 online, I got it for $135:

Great tent BTW - ludicrously easy to set up, just pull 2 cords and it's taken shape. All that's left then is driving in the tent pegs at the end.

    • How do you feel with 2 people sitting in the tent?

      • +6

Depends on how well he knows them I guess.

      • +1

we've only used it once, haven't tried laying down or anything - but 2 people sitting is totally fine, room to spare.

TBH when I saw it listed as 2-person tent I imagined something a lot smaller for some reason

        (not a regular camper here….clearly)

  • great deal, thank you.

I bought this but don't find it particular faster to erect than a 'standard' 3 person dome tent with separate fibreglass poles. In some ways probably worse as its surprisingly bulky/heavy when packed and the fly is still a separate piece. It could be fun if you docked 3 of these to the 6 person mother tent but with hindsight I would have just got a cheapy 3 person from kmart. I guess that's why they are on special!

Thank you. I have long entertained getting one but considering I can pop up a small dome in a few minutes it feels hardly worth it. I needed to hear this comment to bring it home.

"MAX HEAD HEIGHT 147cm" and "tall enough to almost stand in"?

    • Keyword is ‘almost’. There are tents out there with a lower head room. But yeah not ideal of course.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed 2 as they fit together!

As someone else said, the 6 person interconnector would be ideal but multiple reviews TRASH it as not waterproof, but the reviews on the 3-persons seem much better.

  • No stock Melbourne

  • thanks OP, bought 1

  • Can't see stock in SA, can anyone find one?

  • damn, just bought one on friday at $99. :(

    • They'll refund the diff (where it has been a "few" days.. rather than a month earlier)

      Try online customer service

      • ill give it a go, cheers :)

  • Does anyone know if you can connect 2 x 3-person tents without the 6-person ?

    • From the video I strongly believe as yes

    • You can also keep the tents separate and sleep 3 in each instead.

  • 50 is a bargain provided the pop up is easy to use.

  • Have a similar quick up 10 person tent and this system is super easy to set up. I’ve picked up one of these for the quick camping trips as it’s a bit bigger than my two person tent and will take no time to get up and down. Cheers OP.

  • Got it at $99.

Works O.K., especially for a beach tent that doesn't require the rain cover. Takes 1-2 minutes to pop up and all you need is to peg it down.

Good luck putting it all back in the carry case, however…. Got mine all in but the material will rip very soon as it's abnormally difficult to re-compact the tent.

  • Just picked one up! Thanks OP.

Pretty huge, definitely won't be walking far with it.

  • Stupid question could this be taken on the bake of a motorbike?

    • No it can't
