Aussies are threatening to boycott Supercheap Auto after a worker was stood down, even though many think he was in the right.
Do you think the Employees Actions were justified?

Love how it's being reported as he chose to leave rather than was pushed out. I suspect that some bullshittery has happened behind the scenes which gave him no choice in it. Poorly handled by SCA I reckon.
"Rival store Autobarn in Burleigh Heads was one of the first to offer him a new job, with owner Michael Farrar saying he was just the type of employee he was looking for."
LOL
may as well get that rotor mounted on the wall w/ a plaque
"on this day I got tiktok famous"
Yeah, policy bullshittery I'd say. And he would've seen the truth about how little they care when push comes to shove. He's better off, as long as he finds another job. Who knows, maybe he'll have a go at getting them for unfair dismissal (asserting he was pressured into a decision to quit and had no choice).
Retailers only care about them selves and don't give a 2c about employees
WSH is there to protect both customers and workers.
“We have extensive video surveillance in our stores and suspected cases of shoplifting are referred to the police with footage of the alleged offenders,” it continued.
“The health, safety and wellbeing of our team members and customers is our highest priority and we are committed to maintaining a safe working and shopping environment.”
Justified yes, would I do it? No. He's a more faithful worker than me and hasn't yet been broken into realising you're on your own in most workplaces. But he might now, just saw on the news that hes quit. I hope he finds a job where he's valued and a workplace that supports him.

Just wait until the next time something similar happens but this time the customer falls over and breaks their wrist.
The cost of WSH can easily cost more than $15,000.
I wonder in theory if this works at mcdonalds. eg: i just walk into the kitchen area and start making my own crazy burger, and then walk out with it. All because the staff are instructed not to do anything.
Thank you. Glad he took the option at Autobarn.
Yeah I'm glad as well. Good to know that it ended up well for the guy. I'm sure he'll be more appreciated there.

Here's the in-store footage. Definitely no baby in the pram.
