Riverside 900 Hybrid Bike 28", 100% aluminium 6061 frame, suspension fork.

It seems it's a good bike to ride around city and trekking but I don't know much about bikes. Can anyone tell me if this bike worth buying? Thanks.

  • Hybrid bike, I thought it had both a petrol and electric motor.

that means I was so wrong. I thought it had both an unleaded and a diesel engine. mate, I am asking serious opinions if this bike worth buying.

Ozbargain isn't for purchase advice it's for bargains. Is this a bargain?

        • -1

It looks bargain but I need confirmation from people who knows bikes.

        • Have to agree. Generally the poster should be sure it's a bargain.

        • Surely that is a judgement that can only be made by a potential buyer.

          Your neg is specious.

Why is your deal a better deal than this? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/694555
Did you only post because you see it lower than their claimed "RRP"??
Is it 5 times better than the Kmart bike?
    If so, please explain…

    • kmart one is out of stock almost every where. I have no idea if this bike is 5 times better than kmart one. they are also different bikes. SUNTOUR NCX SF17 suspension fork itself is €140 (AU$209)

    • This is Aluminium 6061 100% frame, kmart is alloy.

  • i wonder how the term "hybrid" is relevant on this?

Road bike mixed with a mountain bike

    • +1

I believe they use hybrid term as it is a flat bar road bike as well as mountain bike. It has good tyres to ride it on the road fast and light weight and it has suspension fork

    • Feel free to Google

  • The exact same bike was actually available in 2018 in a different colour scheme. It retailed for $662 AUD in the UK https://www.choosemybicycle.com/en/woc/expert-reviews/btwin-…

The grip shifters a tell tale sign of a cheap bike. They are crap regardless of brand. Suggest you look outside Anaconda/Decathlon and go to a independent bike store.

  • FYI, 28" means 700C.

What is "hybrid" about this? It basically looks like a mountain bike but with slick tyres. Would make a decent touring bike.

Get a Merida Crossway for similar money.

or used ones can be had for $300-500 through fb/gumtree.

Polygon is okay too for a budget bike.

Giant Cross City if you dont mind spending a little bit more.

  • Go second hand, eBay.
