Is it only one color available?

  • +1

Only the one colour available at this price, others available at $140-$150 mark, just search 'KAYANO 18' in the search box on their website.

wish it was an ASIC :<

Wiggle had similar promo 2-3 months ago, I got my Kayano 18 then - they are great, 100% worth the ~120 AUD.

  • great price for kayano 18

  • +4

I need new runners, and I know how good the Kayano's are… But other things like car insurance are more important :(

  • Does this only apply to the 'SS12' size which is very slim?

  • Good price. Paid AU$200 just 2 months ago!

    • I don't think the reduction is due to the 2 months. I got kayano 18's for $128 from wiggle 2 months ago. Just a matter of waiting for one of their discount codes.

      • Nah. Got it at Jim Kidd with socks thrown in! All the hype back then, couldn't resist =)

  • Help me out please.
I am wearing a pair of 1160 now. wanna upgrade to Kayano 18. Noticed that the size is slightly different to 1160.
UK size 8 is Euro size 40 for Kayano 18, while for 1160, it's UK size 7.5 as Euro size 40.

Would it be the same internationally?

  • just paid via paypal, and it's 120.xx AUD

    • That's cuz you got PayPal to convert for you.

Get thy 28 degrees card and pay in the native currency.

You can use code AUS20 to receive £12.00 off.

    • too late for me. Can't cancel previous order. :(

  • Does this work? I applied the discount code and it says "•This voucher discounts the List price of the items in the basket. Applying this voucher would increase the amount payable."

The shoes are listed at 110.83 ukp and the 83.13 ukp price is apparently 25% off. Did anyone else get the discounts to stack?

  • +1

If you use the code 'AUS20' you get a bigger discount.

    Goods total £83.13
    Extra Voucher Discount £12.00
    You pay £71.13

  • Nice. Went for the slightly dearer wider (2e) ones (using a pair atm; most perfect fitting running shoe for my feet i've come across). Used the AUS25 code. Touch over £80 came down to, which converts to $128. Don't need them right now, but at that price..

    • where does it say 2E on the screen , im looking for Vomero in the wider size

      • It doesn't seem to. I had to search 'Kayano 18', and then pulled up a page which referenced '2E width' model specifically.

        http://www.wiggle.co.uk/asics-gel-kayano-18-2e-width-shoes-s…

They seem to have their various fits under different headings and links (and prices). If you have no luck with that approach (just typed 'vomero' myself and didn't see wide fit specific page…), maybe shoot em an email?

        • thanks , i cant seem to find it myself either….from now on I will just do a search by brand and go through the list looking for the 2E

prices are good but shame its not labelled a bit better like eastbay

  • Bit worrying…Kayano 17 vs 18.
    http://youtu.be/br6VKUyqhPg

    • um… can you summarize it for us?

      • Watch it…

      • means 17 are better

    • Hmmmm, got me worried about getting the Kayano 18's, and wiggle has stopped selling the 17's for men, bugger! Anyone know a reputable online store to buy the 17's? Tried endless.com, but seems like they've stopped shipping to Australia…

      • startfitness.co.uk have kayano 17's in stock, plenty of sizes and colours $112 delivered.
used them before, very efficient and good customer services.

        • Thanks for your advice..:)

Has anyone ever bought anything from these guys?
          http://www.asicstigersaus.com
They seem to have Kayano 17's for cheap (about $105 AUD shipped), as well as a wide range of cheap Tigers…only thing is that they don't take Paypal (only accept CC, Western Union and Moneygram), should I be worried about this? Tried to search for a review on this site to no avail, so dunno if they are all that reputable, worth the plunge???

        • +1

I dont touch a international online store without paypal and reviews.
They dont have a physical address or reviews.
Their site was made this year.
So beware. My advice is not to try them for saving few bucks. You might end up getting a fake.

        • Thought so, thanks for confirming my suspicions anyways..:)

Won't deny the science - it is what it is - but after three months of running in them can't say any of those Kayano 18 complaints have struck a cord with me. Heel protection feels great; i like that it's not stiff and haven't felt any negative consequences of the softer gripping style yet… Same with freedom for side of foot (though i am using 2E's). The biggest difference between 17's and 18's i've noticed is the 18's feel lighter and more comfortable. I'm not sure i buy 'a stiff, heavy running shoe with rock heel=a good running shoe' (overall argument of video). But i guess each to their own.

      • Ok, thanks for your input…:)

  • Anyone know what the SS12 designator means? They are selling other Kayano 18s on Wiggle without that identifier (and at a higher price). Keen to know the difference.

  • +2

I'm pretty sure SS12 is "Spring Summer 2012", mainly referring to the colour schemes.

  • Big negative - just received email advising order has been cancelled due to lack of stock. Hope the rest of you don't suffer the same fate as my size 6.5's…

    • Ordered 8.5s on Friday around midnight, despatch confirmed around 3pm on Saturday. 7 working days for delivery they say. Sounds good, in theory.

  • Deal is still live. Only few size ran out. Can't belive 6.5 is the most popular size for men.Hmmmm…
