What Other Schemes/Ideas Are as Good as QFF Points on Credit Cards

Hi OzBargainers!

I've been churning credit cards and have been able to support a long-distance relationship for a few years with not really (apart from taxes etc) having to pay for a flight. This has been very much helped by ozbargain and the community here - so thank you.

I was introduced to churning cards by my brother who got into if a year or so ahead of me. I was originally apprehensive thinking that it was too good to be true but after a few years I'm a full convert and have converted many others. So its got me thinking, what other schemes are like churning cards for QFF points that also come across as too good to be true but actually are. This can be money saving (in the case of QFF points - not having to pay for flights) or money generating (like little known high performance asset classes).

Very interested to see what the community comes up with.

Thanks in advanced!

  • A certain fuel lock app and a certain other thing which assists that certain fuel lock app.

Cant say anything more. First rule of fuel lock app club, dont talk about fuel lock app club

    • Maybe it's different in other areas but the 7/11 fuel lock has never been cheaper in Sydney CBD.

Currently shows 179.99 from 6 stations. Pretty much every other station is 179.99 already and budget ones are 177.99.

Shell Coles Express 22c/L discount is better deal if you spend $20 in-store and have shopping and carsales voucher. Makes it 157.99 which is a $33 discount on full tank fill.

It does vary where you live for sure. Heaps of speedway / metro style independent fuel stations in south and western Sydney have rock bottom prices

      • Even if we ignore the "cheating" ways of using the app, its not really about being cheapest right now - its about being able to lock in a price before inevitable price rises, giving you the bottom of the price cycle for one more week
