Free Burrito (Credit Worth $11.90 - $12.90) @ Guzman Y Gomez via App (New Users Only)

2801

The exciting Sign-up Burrito at Guzman Y Gomez is now back to the Full Burrito (or any other item, with a credit of $ 11.90 to $ 12.90). This was down to a Mini Burrito in the recent past but can confirm it is back to the Main Burrito now.

The Free Burrito may be claimed within 6 months of signing up.

Notes:

  • They save the Phone Mac or some Device ID so you cant use the same device if you've already used it to claim the Free Burrito in the past.
  • Requires SMS Text verification with an Australia Mobile Number to get the Free Burrito credit.

    • Any particular one you recommend?

  • Their ground beef burrito is so good.
Much better than Mad Mex IMO.

Not receiving the verification SMS. Anybody else?

    • +1

      me neither

      • Just tried, nada

  • Anyone know how to apply the sign up credit? There doesn't seem to be a switch of any kind on the checkout screen.

  • I signed up last week and received the credits. However the app seems to be updated and the credits that I haven’t used are gone in my account now. It has disappeared

Also receiving no confirmation code. New issue today?

Anyone else having issues registering an account? Get to the stage of verifying my mobile number but the text never comes through…

    • Came through Sunday, maybe the promo over or got ozbargained?

What an absolute POS app. I've waited more than 10 minutes to receive the verification code in order to setup my account in the app and still nothing. Are they just harvesting mobile phone numbers to spam you?

    • 5 hours and multiple retries, no message at all for me

  • +1

I did this last week and my unused burrito credit seems to still be there FWIW

  • Cannot verify via SMS, the app was sloooooow on my old ozbargainer phone; contacted support two days ago, still no response

    • I just referred a friend who completed sign-up within a couple of minutes with no problem - on a very old basher phone. SMS verified, email verified, welcome burrito sitting there.

      • I think the App may have problems on Android phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
Although Play Store mentions it is supported on Android 5.0 and up.

  • Signed up but my GYG dollars is zero.

Edit: Nevermind, didn't see the banner for the free Burrito

Yep, I had success now too, their SMS verification works again.
They must've ran out an got another pre-paid recharge for their SMS machine.
Probably had to wait a few days for a good ozbargain deal to pop-up.

  • worked. thanks!

  • Thanks lunch OP!

Just checking if someone has the Guzman api to generate accounts?
    Please dm

  • Got the email saying I'm getting a free burrito but not showing in the app.
    Something not right.
Dinner cancelled tomorrow courtesy of RBA if I'm not getting that freebie.

    • Did you end up getting it?

      • Not on the app.
        However went into store.
Told them I got the email saying I'm getting a free burrito but it is not showing.
Super nice girl said this happened to a customer before and gave me a free burrito….nice!
I'm now a loyal GYG customer!!!
        That's the way!

        • Wow super nice of the store to do that, would have expected them to tell you to contact Head Office!

I signed up yesterday and never got the free burrito showing on the app.

          • @acai: Goto to the store and show them the email. They have an option on the register to give you a free burrito as part of the membership program.

  • NO Free Burritos - just checked and signed up - they have a link to claim a burrito which redirects you to app. But the app doesn’t show any free burritos. Decided to delete my account and pack up my beans.

    • Same here :(

    • The app is slow, the Free Burrito sometimes takes up to 10 minutes to appear on the app. Also, I needed to kill the app and restart it later to get the free burrito.

Unsure if you'd get it again since you already signed up with the particular phone number.

    • Yep same here, either it's an app bug or they're somehow thinking my device is the same that's already used the reward.

  • I had a free burrito after I signed up but it mysteriously vanished after a few days. Thats odd. Has this happened with anyone?

  • Worked for me yesterday. New email and new phone number.

Just tried signing up it’s not working! This chain sounds so scammy trying to get people to sign up

    • I got the email but it didn’t work in the app. New phone and email. Maybe they’re tracking device ID.

      • Yep new number and email but no reward. Looks like aggressive Device ID tracking now.

I contacted customer service and they manually added it to my account.

          • @sween64: Thanks for the heads up. Actually, I had done the same immediately after signup. Will report back tomorrow once they're back at work and see what/how they respond.

  • Very nice, still working.
Just got a new phone so it looks like you need a new phone.
