Hi all,
My monitor broke (LCD damaged :/), so unfortunately I'll have to depart with some cash and buy a new one. I haven't purchased a monitor for quite some time so I don't know what's-what. Was hoping for some suggestions.
Current monitor, Model: U28E850R. Specs seem ok, though one thing I noticed, when scrolling in windows, and playing (some) games, there seemed to be a ghosting effect happen. not sure what that's from, whether it's the screen (though specs say 1ms) or a setting of some kind.
I mainly play games (casually),
Watched movies/TV shows
General use.
Needs tilt for when I watch movies
Needs 1x HDMI (if I connect console), 1xDP for PC
Would games look better on an IPS? I understand IPS is better for graphics design/photoshop, though not sure if textures in games will benefit from IPS.
I'm not too fussed about resolution. Desktop, games and movies are usually 720 or 1080. I never used 4k resolution due to making everything too small. I was thinking next monitor maybe going up in Mhz, perhaps to a 75Hz+ ? Though i'm not quite sure if game FPS would go that high due to other hardware (2600K CPU, 1080 GFX)
Any suggestions on what you might look at, or what to avoid? A quick DCOMP check shows,

^ not sure what the difference between "signal input" and "HDCP version" means.
I searched DCOMP for <$300 monitors, a lot of them seem to be AOC. Last I heard they were alright.
Anyone used the above, know if they're any good ?
