Went searching for some stainless steel mesh for another project & came across this. Usually dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks.
I'm not much of a tea drinker so I'm assuming this is ok to use if you prefer the leaf.

Only reason I posted this is it's down from $7.95 (bargain?) it's Avanti - a somewhat trusted brand, & it comes from Amazon
Same price at Catch
Cheaper non Avanti versions on AliExpress
Ikea's version $2 <- not on sale.

Item dimensions L x W x H 50 x 50 x 40 millimetres

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

Great for using as a hop bomb when homebrewing for small dry hop additions into the fermenter.

Great for using as a scoby filter when pouring your homemade kombucha

    • How many grams of hop pellets can you fit?

Thanks OP!. Got a pair just in case. 😊

You literally got a pair of steel balls, mate!

Can I put my nuts in these?

    • +2

I think you might be after a nut milk bag, if you want to milk your nuts that is.

      • Do you need a milking stool?

If you used cold water then they might fit.

Kmart also has a tea infuser which is <$2 if you don't mind the long handle

I have something like this and I think it is way better with a rigid handle meaning you can easily submerge it, stir it around, all that stuff.

    • +2

I have two of these (from kmart) and they suck big time, they don't close properly and you end up with all the fine leaves in your tea

Just bought this avanti one, hopefully it's better

  • Thanks!

Thanks OP, saw one the other day that looks identical but a dollar more. Now that dollar can go towards another useless purchase that I don't really need!

These are great for putting in the 2nd drawer of your kitchen.

You are better off throwing the leaves in the pot, and using a small strainer when you pour it out. Much easier to clean too

Easier alternative is to buy a 50 pack of disposable tree bags and fill a bunch at once.

    • Disposable tea bags probably wouldn't expand as well? Unless you find pyramid-shaped ones, but those aren't paper iirc

  • Thanks OP.

Buy this and you'll be on a steep learning curve.

  • look like an adult toy.. just saying

  • prefect for the Sack

  • Be real careful washing these +some more. I was washing it pretty gently and the hinge just broke. Got a refund from chat without having to return it but i really rather it lasted 😞
