30% off Mishimoto Oil Coolers and Catch Cans (e.g Oil Cooler Nissan 370Z $688 Was $983) + Shipping @ Mishimoto

410

Amazingly good quality oil coolers and catch cans for most makes and models of car. Keep your engine oil cool (e.g. for towing or track work) and catch the impurities from your crankcase instead of burning them in your cylinders (i.e. make your engine run better and last longer).

Catch cans come with some new vehicles as standard.

Definately his worst video. He is usually so well knowledgable on what he talks about but this one he was full of complete rubbish. I can open up the manifold on my Landcruiser and show anyone the horrors of PCV systems.

      • Yeah I’d agree haha, I like the particular video for his puns though. I’ve seen the benefits of a catch can!

Was shocked at the amount of crud blocking the manifold on my patrol. Good clean and a couple of blanking plates sorted things out though.

  • No more Mishimoto Kia Stinger Intercooler Kit?

Was just looking into catch cans last week! And after having read this study, this writeup and a few forums around the interwebs I ended up getting a Provent 200 for my Triton.

The study concluded it was the coalescing/fibrous filters that performed best, and these use a "40-micron bronze filter". I wonder how they stack up?

      For your Tesla's?

  • for most makes and models of car

I don't see much for the Australian market

  • looks like air coolers are discounted too

Link goes straight to my car, nice!

For anyone unfamiliar, make sure you get thermostatic so it doesn't start flowing/cooling before your oil is up to temperature.

  • How long does the discount last I need to seek approval from fleet

  • I wouldn't say "Amazingly good quality oil coolers", that statement is more suited for Setrab cores.

But they're ok for your average street/track enthusiast.

  • Ok quality for general use, would not use them on race cars. Would be ok for drifters and drag racers:)

    • I personally wouldn't put them on a proper drift car, but that's just me.

Drags sure, you just need to cool things for a good few seconds.

  • "Amazingly good quality" - yeah I'm not sure on that one…

  • surprised they still make catch cans without a level indicator..
