Is this any good for running? The mic of my Jabra Elite Active 65t just died and wondering should I stick to the 75t or this

    • +3

It's hard to recommend these because it's purely dependent on whether or not they fit your ears. These never sat in my ears correctly and it felt like they were always going to fall out. They're also uncomfortable to wear if you're going to wear them for more than an hour. I eventually switched across to the Galaxy Buds +.

I had the same issue however I used the silicon ear tips from another pair of wireless buds that fit better. Since then couldn't be happier

    • I found these were quite big and heavy compared to other buds. I couldn't wear them even for a walk as they would fall out.

    • +7

      Breathing makes them fall out.

      • +7

        Thinking makes them fall out

        • +9

          That happens to my brain

    • Mine were flat out staying in while even slowly walking…

And yes i was using after market tips

      • Nice tip.

      • Have you tried after hours market tips? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • Something like these might work, couldn't find any compatible with my sennheisers, but interested to hear if they worked for anyone.

    • For starters its not IP rated. So if something goes wrong due to moisture there's nothing to help. The earphones are great sound quality but doesn't stay in well. I used them with complyfoam tips which helped to stay in place better. However, wasn't very comfortable for long term use.
I have the Jabra 75T, not as great at ANC or isolation, but more comfortable and easier to run with. Also helps that they offer good IP rating better if you get the active.

    • No. Walking and transit. Even walking they become a bit loose.

  • Personally I think this is too big and heavy for many users. I think there is still better options out there at this price point.

  • +7

Pretty good sound quality, rubbish call quality, too big and bulky - couldn't get a good fit and would fall out. Moved to Airpods Pro despite being on Android and much better.

    • The best summary I have seen.

    • The big problem with AirPods is that the battery can’t be replaced, so after 2-3 years or so they become junk. Sony’s in-ears have socketed lithium batteries and are replaceable.

  • I have to constantly readjust these in my ears every 5 minutes because they want to fall out but at least sound quality is good?

  • I have these, they're great for the office/public transport. But would not recommend them to walk or run with, as others have said they're simply too big.

If you are planning to run with them spending a bit more and get the newer model, Sony WF-1000XM4, as they are half the size.

  • I walk and run with these. But I changed to comply tips. One of the best sounding TWS buds on the market.

    Love mine

  • +4

I must be in the minority. Walk to work everyday and these fit great with stock tips.

    • +1

Ditto, I have no problems walking or working with these in. I doubt they'd stay in for a run though.

They're definitely relatively big and heavy, but I don't mind the look and feel - and the NC is absolutely excellent.

I would definitely try any earbuds on before buying -the shape of your ear and ear canal makes a big difference. Airpods fall out of my ears within seconds; Google buds sit firmly but the 'wings' start hurting after 20 minutes.

  • Great fit for me and love the sound. I'm contemplating buying another pair as backup. 🤔

  • The sound on these was good but I didn't enjoy the feel or look in my ears. For some they may suit, and at this price they're great value but the XM4s fit way better.

  • Really uncomfortable and too many issues with calls and when used with Windows for Team calls. Skipping youtube videos cuts BT connection. You can disable the Hands free and only use as BT headphones but then that defeats the purpose of buying these if you need something else for calls.

  • Nope. I am not a fan of Sony's keyfob design. 👎

Paid $330ish at the end of 2019. Very good true wireless earbus and if you're considering one pair, this value is unbeatable.

  • I must have odd ears, as I have no issues. Only times these ever fall out is when I've been mowing for an hour with ear muffs on and my ears get sweaty.

Really love mine. Noise cancelling is fantastic. The XM4's are supposedly even better, but not a fan of the the look (although it's the price holding me back from grabbing those, not the looks).

  • Been using mine for ages now and they fit fine for me. Walking is no problems. Works fine for Teams calls. I see a lot have issues with the fitment, but thats really down to individuals ear shapes etc. I wouldnt use them for running though.

  • I'm looking for some wireless buds that I can go to sleep with them in-ear. These look a bit 'flat' on the external which might work?

Anyone have any advice on buds for sleeping?

    • +1

Still a bit large for sleeping, would definitely be uncomfortable if you lay on your side.

    • +1

I think Bose have some designed for sleep. No personal experience with them though.
XM3 are way to big to sleep with unless you sleep only on your back.

  • has anyone noticed this issue, with bluetooth earbuds in general when watching netflix the audio cuts a few times until you keep watching for 15min+ till it gets in sync, however if you are playing movies out of a USB this never happens. what's more mind boggling is that without the earbuds and using the tv speakers there is no sync or lag issues at all with the audio from netflix, it only happens when watching using earbuds. why does it not happen during USB movie playback and only during netflix? (it cant be coz its streaming via internet, because the issue does not happen when playing back using TV speakers) this leads me to believe that its a netflix issue

    • Common problem with various solutions. Hopefully more info let's you Google some.

The Netflix Android TV app has Bluetooth issues. The BT and WiFi share an antenna. High quality video+audio will cause buffering/stutter. It needs to keep lowering the audio bitrate so you get stuttering until it somehow satisfies itself. Any other audio output will work fine, or any non-wifi input will work fine.

Netflix knows about it but hasn't released a fix.

One workaround is to plug a 3.5mm -> BT antenna into the box (if it had one).

  • These any good for gaming?

    • No, they’d be terrible because of audio delay. You’d want AptX Low Latency support if you were thinking of buying something wireless for gaming or alternatively a headset with a proprietary 2.4GHz USB dongle.

      • Any recommendation on Aptx low latency?
