Is this better or different to the other 66w they had on sale (I know it's a different model, but why get this one rather than the other?)

    • +2

Apparently this uses newer technology (GaN3) but it would be great if the rep steps in and explains the actual differences.

  • yes please

  • Can we use with the 66W multiport adaptor e.g. EU ports etc.?

    • +2

I bought one on a recent Amazon sale and I cannot see any way to remove the AU plug. I also have some Heymix ones where the plug slides off (looks similar to the Zyron 66W) but the Zyron 65W looks to be fixed.

    • 65W has a fixed AU plug for Australian consumers only mate.

  • +4

66W Powerpod uses Gen1 GaN chipset and comes with changeable travel adapters for AU, EU, UK (no cable)

Powastone 65 uses gen3 GaN chipset and comes with a fixed AU plug and 100W C to C 1m cable

Also, Powastone 65 has 60W output via USB-A whereas 66W has 36W output

    • Hi friend

What is the major difference between gen 1 and gen 3 GaN chipset?

Got the 66w and 65 w in my cart.

      Thank u

      • +3

Gan is a new technology so constantly developing. GaN3 offers continued improvements in power transfer, heat dissipation, and charging speed.

Also, Powastone has 2 years and 66W has 1 year warranty

        • Thanks! Got 1. Hope it does not have any bad coil whine like mentioned on amazon review.

        • Heat dissipation yes, power transfer slightly, faster charging speed NO.

          • +3

@Wayne7497: The newer one supports more charging protocols and if the phone supports that the charging speeds will definitely increase.

  • Already Sold out and went to pre-order lol.

  • Gan 3 is on smaller die slightly more efficient, however the specs on this don't look that good to me especially compared to the baesus gan 3 charger I'm using, nor do the reviews sound good from amazon.com.au

which baseus charger are you using?

        This one

  • Did that seriously sell out in less than an hour? How much stock was available?

  • Hi rep,

Just wondering what the difference is between your 14.99 2m cable and the 6.99 2m cable on Amazon?

Also do you have any 100W GAN3 adaptors?

I just bought this Powastone one already but thought I might need 2 laptops charging on the road.

Also would this Powastone one be similar to the other official ie Samsung 65W adaptors out there?

    • +4

We have 120W GaN 2 that will be on sale tomorrow.

      • Sweet thanks

      • +1

And any difference in the braided 2m cables? The SKU codes are different

        • +2

2m cable on Amazon and our website are same

      • +1

Any idea or kind hint for the price tomorrow?

  • +3

Bought one, but I'm still a bit worried, given the mix review of this charger on Amazon AU.

    • I am in the same boat, If it whines, I am returning.

      • It looks like they only offer replacement, not refund.

          • @[Deactivated]: True but most issues won't show up in the first month I guess? haha
Unlike Amazon I will probably get a refund straight away.

            • @AsukaST: Lots of issues in products are present early, have a google of the Bathtub Curve

  • +4

It's an awesome little charger. My only gripe is that the three ports reset whenever I plug in or unplug a device.

I bought it for a MiniWare MHP30 hot plate. ☺️

I haven't noticed any high pitched noises.

I'd post a review on Amazon but my 4 star review was rejected and I'm no longer allowed to review it. 🙃

    • +1

      Rejected by who and why?

      • +2

My review was published on 20th Feb 2022 but then it was removed. I'm not sure why. Amazon didn't reply.

        " Tim on 20 February 2022
        Nice and compact design
I like the minimalist and compact design of this 65W Zyron GaN 3 charger. It's a little thicker, longer and heavier compared to by Google Pixel phone charger. However, it's not really wider. It fits my power boards perfectly.

        I asked a store rep on…
        See your full review"

If I try to write a review for it now I get:
"We apologize but Amazon is not accepting reviews on this product from this account."

        • Thanks. Other than the size, does it work as it says? Any pros or cons?

          • +2

@AsukaST: It works well with my MHP30 hot plate (USB-C), XTAR VC8 charger (USB-A) and phone.

The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it's annoying when the connection resets for each port when a device is plugged in or removed.

    • +1

Thanks saved me the annoyance of that reset

  • Hi rep, am I able to cancel my GaN1 order and get this instead?

    • +8

Yes you can mate. Send me a PM with your order number. But kindly note that 65W Powastone is on backorder list

      • thanks Rep, I have also PMed my order number, would love to have the GaN3 instead, Thanks

  • If Max output is 65w, what is the point of having a 100w charging cable?

    • +5

That's just the current it supports. It hardly costs more than anything less. 100W and 60W are generally the two standards for Type-C and for a 65W charger the 100W cable makes more sense.

  • +1

Any of the Gan charger that does NOT reset when you plug / unplug a cable? Quite annoying when I have a TV stick plug into it and it resets all the time…

  • +1

So in layman's terms…how many USB C phones can this fast charge at once?

    • +2

Two using usb c to c cables, and one using usb a to c cable ( only one usb c to c cable included ).

Which phone charges fastest out of the 3 is up to you to prioritise and do the math.

      • +1

Thanks for that…already got the cables to do that then.

    • +2

You don't really need a 65W charger if you just want to charge phones.
There are cheaper options like 45W.
There main purpose of 65W is for charging laptops (+phone at the same time).

      • +1

Yea….but I always buy over engineered products for my needs!!

Out of interest any multi USB C phone charger should I be looking at?

        • +1

Good idea. Many other chargers default to 18w/20W max for two/three ports used at once,

at least with this you can charge 2 20W, and one of those two upto 45W dependent on fast charge tech on phone.

  • Do any of these Zyron adaptors come with a high speed low speed USB C port?

  • +2

OP already in penalty box lol

    • How do you end up in the Penalty Box? Was about to go and purchase this but hesitating now.

  • Now you’re playing with POWA.

  • C2 + USB-A: 5V3A
    C1 + (C2 + USB-A): 45W+(15W)

C2 sounds crippled when used in conjunction with A

    • I guess they wanted to keep higher watts on C1 to run a bigger laptop or something.

  • Can I refund the previously purchased 66W and buy this? Since it hasn’t been shipped

  • We have a MacBook pro touch. Which one would you recommend to use

  • +1

Alright seriously, stop with these good deals. Now I have 2x 108W chargers and 2x 65W GaN3 chargers and 4x USB-C cables on the way.

  • +1

awesome deal! My old Zyron GaN charger was stolen and have been waiting for a chance to replace it!

  • +1

would love for an option to upgrade to a 2m cable instead of the 1m cable for a small premium btw!

    • Mate we always work on community feedback. We have started to upgrade our 1m cables to 2m cables already in our upcoming chargers. When you see the Day 07 deal tomorrow, you'll get a hint :)

      • What deal will day 7 be? Or is this a secret?

        • Our last charger - Deskpod 156W :)
We might have some Cables back too.

          • @ibelievesyd: What happened to the last deal?

            • @brawndo: Hi mate,

Sorry we don't have enough stock for Deskpod unfortunately. Also, we are upgrading the Deskpod with the new stock as it will have more inclusions in the box. Will post a proper deal around end of May.

  • +1

Any possibility of still buying 2m cable for 6.99 and power banks too at the discounted price?

    • If you are a prime member then sure you can get that price on Amazon.

    • Hope can get it sooner

    • Hey Rep, Any idea when the order will be shipped? I ordered the 65W when it was in stock. Thanks. Just cant wait to get my hands on it. lol

      • Mate 65W will leave from Amazon directly. Metro areas, it will deliver in 3-7 days and remote areas in 6-10 business days.

The order volume has been significant but we are trying our best to ship out everything by Friday. 60% of the orders have been already shipped. 30% today and others on Friday.

        • Sweet, thanks!

        • Hi Rep, was there a day 7 Deal in the end? Never saw anything. Also are the deals over now cause seems like the prices have changed

  • Dear all, we received the stock today and will be dispatching all the pre-orders starting tomorrow. We will try to send out all pre-orders by 5th. Thank you all for your patience.

    • Hi rep
I just received this charger yesterday (which took 11 days, very slow shipping)
When I try to use the USB-C port to charge a Nokia 7.2
It disconnect frequently, and when it doesn't disconnect, the battery % drops while the battery icon shows charging.

Also when I try to use the USB-C to charge a Samsung Tab A7 (2020)
(Spec: Fast charging 15W), it charges much slower than BlitzWolf® BW-S6 QC 3.0 charger

The USB-A port also charges slower than BlitzWolf® BW-S6 QC 3.0 charger
Is the Zyron charger I received faulty?

      • Yes mate, it is a faulty one. Please send me your order details via pm or you can contact via website chat function

        • PMed thanks

        • Hi rep, I am trying to find out when will the replacement be dispatched.
Will be great if you can reply my pm. Thanks.

  • +1

    Got my order today.

You have mixed up my order.

I ordered two 65W chargers, and just got a 120W charger.

The order ID is same on the packing as on the my original order.

    • Lol ask them for the missing 10w

    • Hi mate,

Did you get your replacement? Sorry but we are struggling with our mailbox due to migration. Let me know your order number in pm and I can help

  • Got my order today.

Build quality isn't great. My USB-A port is slanted

  • I got my order today. I was sent a 66W GaN1 Powerpod instead of the 65W GaN3 POWASTONE with cable.
