This is an unbelievable deal! The rocket is 13.8 litres so much smaller than the NR200

    • +1

But this uses a sandwich design. All sandwich cases should be smaller than the NR200.

edit: other sandwich cases are around sub 10L for those wondering. Most of the time can be somewhat of a struggle to build in and cable manage. Also some difficulties with pcie gen 3 vs. 4 riser cable compatibility.

This is still an amazing deal!

      • It's true. But I paid $350 for a formd t1 which is 9.5L, all in was $700 for PSU, case and cooler.

This is a bit bigger but $200 for something very similar

        • Formd t1 is a great case. Definitely in the premium price range, very different to the NR200 and I still think it's a bit better than this one. I'm rocking the NR200, wish I got something slightly smaller but I love it's compatible with almost anything. i don't have to worry about getting things which fit because almost everything fits.

    • that is true but the nr200 does have virtually unrivalled thermals to be fair in this price range

  • Wish there was a similar deal for the iqunix zx-1. Have been eyeing it for a couple of months and at this price I would have definitely jumped in

    • Just bought the zx-1 liquid cooled in space grey. Was going to be a 3 month wait for black.

I thinks it's the best looking mini itx case out there

  • Do people like these mini atx cases because they are more portable? Or just because they look more sleek?

I guess you give up usb ports and other features going for a smaller motherboard.

I would guess some would prefer for portability purposes, some because the aesthetic and some because limited space

    • +1

For me it's just that it's sleek and it saves space. I like keeping my PC on the desk rather than the floor so it doesn't absorb dust.

    • I want a computer that doesn't use that much plastic. It looking sleek and minimalistic, plus being portable, are all very happy accidents.

    • its just i am sick of all those full tower cases has so much empty space init, feels like a waste of room. i like all space being utilised and that feels nice xD

  • Looks like a great deal but shame mini ITX boards are so limited.
Otherwise I would jump on this.

For me it was that SFF PSUs are so expensive as well. It really turned me of ITX PCs but now I really like them. If you come into it knowing it's a price premium then it's not so bad and it's a one off buy every few years. If you calculate the price diff between MATX or ATX to ITX over the life of the PC it's really not as bad as people think it is.

      • +3

yeah but itx PSU are nothing compare to the price of itx mobos….

  • What MOBO would be recommended with a 5600x?

    • +1

      A B550 ITX

  • The Lian Li SP 750 is basically $150, so you are getting the case and cooler for $50.

Is such brand PSUs not bombs waiting to blow?

I know they make great cases, but I'm not ready to trust them to PSU.

      • they usually just use mass producers to make them the psu and lian li puts their name on it.

        • -2

so its Walmart PSU mass market PSUs from China with lian li's name on it, got it.

  • I like small desktops. I got an Intel NUC 11 Beast Canyon and it saves so much space

PSA to anyone who got this, if you have a CPU without on board graphics and a motherboard that supports Pcie4 (ie b550 and ryzen 5600x) and are also using one of the newer generation GPUs (rx 6xxx/ rtx 3xxx)..
Make sure to attach the GPU directly to the motherboard and power on before installing it in the case.

You'll need to enter Bios and set the Pcie x16 mode to Gen 3 instead of Auto or Gen 4.

Also update your bios while you are at it, as you won't be able to update your bios again without either installing a Gen 4 riser cable, temporarily installing a gen 3 video card or taking the thing apart.
