This or Lazzio (Aldi)?
I've picked up the Lazzio SOs (~$12-16/kg) once or twice when bean deals haven't timed well. They pull a fairly good espresso.
I've only found them with expiries, usually 12 months from purchase, but not roast dates. From OzB comments on previous deals, roast dates are supposably relatively recent (1-2mo?) compared to the Colesworth varieties that are supposably warehouse stored for much longer (>6mo?).
Personally, Aldi over this. And Lavazza over Harris
Makes sense. Harris doesn't even sound Italian! 😅
Roast date is there on the lazzio bag, just in long date format :)
Just reiterating 500g as I guess that's less common.
I saw this this morning but went for the Mountain Grown Varian instead. I sampled almost every single off the shelf Lavazza and find the mountain grown has best taste. Added two decaf. Just over $30 for 1.5kg coffee delivered to my door, not a bad deal!!
FYI, in case you're looking for local stock, Amazon price matched with Woolies.
