Hi, my client has a dying grandmother but is low on funds.
I was hoping some of the bargain geniuses could help us scope out the best flights etc. as I will try, but I know a lot of you are much more experienced at this.

hitchhike, walk.
whats your time frame? flying be cheapest
Regrettably Flying or a combination of Driving/train, then flying? I just used skyscanner as above and it was @$1300 Return.
train/drive to brisbane/gold coast then fly only thing i could think of, or imoova to tas or melb as suggested below is good
Why don't you buy him a flight ticket?
Maybe OP could help organise a Gofundme page?
Hyperloop
Seriously

Which part of Tassie?
I think we'll need a map.
The Ozbargain option is a video call….
Maybe not going, and depends when coming back, but there are motorhome relocations from Hobart to Brisbane in a few weeks time that could save some of the expense.
Try Imoova.com
Its Easter so all travel is going to be expensive. If travel is outside that time like the return trip then savings can be made.
I guess it all depends on when and how long Gran decides to stay around.
Split the flying trip as follows:
HVB <-> BNE $333 via Qantas
BNE <-> HBA $416 to $447 lowest depending on dates
I would try to get BNE <-> HBA via Jestar as it's owned by Qanatas and if anything goes wrong then it may (not will) be easier to re-schedule due to plane issues.
Hitch hike but dont go via Belanglo forest
Hitch hike to Melbourne right now and get on the spirit of Tasmania for $129 night sailing, then hitch hike to the destination in Tasmania
Swim
Cheap, fast, reliable.
Pick two.
Tilt Train Bundy to Bris then take the cheapest flight available to Hobart.
But what if Granny lives in Penguin or Ringarooma?
All sorted, we booked for after Easter, train to bris and fly rest of the way :) thanks guys
Glad that you got it sorted. What is the breakdown of costs and timings?
