Would expect USB C in 2022.

    • Cygnett does have another ChargeUp powerbank with USB-C port though.

      • For $30?

        Aren't xioami's 10kmAh with usb-C around $30?

        • Not for $30. ShouldBuyIt did not specify any price, he just mentioned about a powerbank with USB-C port in 2022.

          • @edfoo: this is/was 10kmAh with usb-C for $30.
            Doesn't have wireless though.
Guess my point was, if you're not specifically after the wireless charging (which has terrible performance anyway) then there are better alternatives

@ShouldIBuyIt: Haha, sorry I didn't realise I was quoting your post earlier.
Yes, I agree unless you really want wireless charging (more convenient, but less power efficient and often slower charging), then better to stick to wired charging.

Wireless battery banks are the biggest waste of time.

"Now I can charge my phone slower, kill the battery quicker and get less use out of the battery bank. Yay!"

Not sure why you were downvoted. It's a solution in search of a problem.

    • They're great to use in a pickle.
ie. Forgot cable, lost cable, don't have cable for your friend's phone etc.

But yes outside of those cases, it's a highly inefficient and fiddly method of charging.

  • ew what is that thing.

    (the port ofc)

  • Anyone have recommendations for a good 10,000mah battery?

I was considering buying this one today:

Seems decent. Anker, PD, 18W+, 2 ports

I got a cygnett a year or so ago…. capacity was barely a third of what was advertised. Straight to being a paper weight in the cupboard. My 5000mah powerbank provides more charge than the cygnett 10000.

    • My cygnett ones have been rock solid and have lasted years usb c port makes huge difference in effectiveness.

I figured I must have gotten a dud. Purchased it specifically for the usb c vs my older micro input / multi output.

        Ah well.

  • Wireless charging is less efficient and much slower than wired charging.
