[VIC] Meredith Goats Cheese Jar 550g $9.99 @ Costco, Docklands (Membership Required)

360

This has to be my favourite soft cheese - have it on breakfast, lunch and dinner. We power through jars of this at a concerning rate. Up until we discovered Costco we were chumps paying $20 at Coles/Woolies.

Found its 'normal' price at Costco was $14.99 and literally renew the Costco membership every year just for the amount of Meredith we eat.

Went in to Costco Docklands (VIC) today and it was on special for $9.99!!! Purchased 5 and wish I had got more. Expiry dates in September / October 2022. Heaps left.

Normally the Costco specials for these standard stock items are Australia wide.

Enjoy!

You are a man of taste. This cheese is great.

You can easily cover the cost of your membership in this area of Costco alone if you can power your way through the larger than supermarket packages.

  • Does anyone know if this is available at other VIC Costcos?

Could you drive to Meredith and grab some direct? About an hour from Melbourne

    • Why? Is it drastically cheaper there?

  • Costco just became feasible…

You can buy more and freeze them. They maintain their texture when thawed. Should be good for 6 months past expiry.

    • I think they're trying to say they will easily get through 5 well before September/October.

Good to know they are freezable though.

  • Best way to eat it? I don't think i've ever tried goats cheese and am heading to costco tomorrow.

Try it on toast (good quality bread) with your favourite honey. The Beechworth ginger honey is next level with this cheese.

Bought some and have tried it with a few combinations. So far the winner is with basil and tomato on toast.

  • Where's the cheese?

  • Amazing cheese, that's a great price! I have it in my salad or just on toast.

  • Best cheese possible and better for you than most. Great price.

Fat 25% (saturated 14%) - still quite far from healthy.

      • Whatever you say "Pizza guy"

      • Dietary fat isn't unhealthy.

If you're anywhere near Sunshine you can.get two kilo buckets of this delicious cheese from Mount Zero's store.

Edit: It's around $45 for the two kilo bucket so better value than Costco's normal price and.much better value than the supermarket.

  • Special price ends today Sunday 10 April

    Ringwood… Vic.
    Same price as Docklands

  • Also at moorrabin with plenty left. Anyone know why Costco don't include all their specials like this one in their vouchers catalogue?

    • Same reason Aldi don't have a pricelist. So you visit regularly in store

      • I get that but Aldi do at least provide a catalogue of all specials. I understand some stores have that as a business model but personally I don't think that's effective.

I'm not one to go to Costco to browse and see if they have anything of interest. But if I know they have things I'm after then I will go. E.g. I wouldn't have gone to Costco today and bought this cheese if I didn't know about the sale. And I also bought other things. But hey that's me, maybe I'm a minority.

  • Same price at crossroads casula NSW

  • Costco has a mailing list and an online catalogue but not the same as other stores
