UPDATED: added all 3 online shops that has this for the same prices :)

You can now get SandForce's bleeding edge performance, with SanDisk's famous reliability & support!

120GB - $129
240GB - $249
480GB - $489

Both shops has the exact same price, but slightly different shipping, I think it's $2 in some cases…I would recommend choose one based on their after sales service (which I have no idea about, I'm sure Ozbers here will point out :) )

Not sure about price, seems good to me but I haven't done any research.

Same prices here, which should be available today.

    • thanks forgot about them…just added it back into the post

  • It's $175 at MSY for 120GB. This seems like a great price!

  • Tooooo tempting!

might go past pccasegear and grab one (shipping is $12 to melb metro)

  • Why not just request the original deal to be un-expired rather than creating a new deal? to my understanding most sources of this product were discussed in the comments of the original deal;

    Are these new Sandforce controllers?
Anyone know how the firmware stacks up against other competitors?
    Are BSOD's still an issue?

    • I personally haven't experienced and BSODs only slight pauses the first day I got mine. Updated the firmware and it has been fine ever since. I have a Vertex 3 120Gb and been using it as my boot drive for a year now.

  • Wish shipping to QLD was cheaping it really kills the deal. I think the Crucial from Amazon seems more worth while.
7 Dollars postage from the US and 19 dollars postage from WA….

dont forget $12 difference get you OZ stock/warranty tho…not sure how it'd work with Amazon….

  • If MSY matched the prices. Otherwise postage kills the deal for me.

    • same here….I just sent MSY an email asking them to price match…finger crossed :)

      • Hanging out for your answer :)

        • dont hang out for toooo long - MSY didnt pickup the phone nor reply to my email….LOL

EDIT: I Just got an email which says MSY dont do price match! Too bad then MSY :(

  • All three out of stock at Netplus.

I've read too many negative stories about Sandforce reliability unfortunately, but these are priced very well particularly for OZ stock and reputable stores.

I have Crucial m4 for about 9 months now and never had a single hiccup, I can recommend m4's without hesitation.

Intel 520's are also Sandforce based…. and they are one of the most reliable drives as Intel even gives them a 5 year warranty.

      • Thanks for the info. I hope the Sandisk firmware is equally reliable.
        Just ordered the 120GB.

Intel have their own sandforce firmware which they'd been developing for over a year. Intel is not sharing their firmware. They have a timed exclusivity on it. There's no guarantee other SF drives will be as reliable as Intel's.

Sandisk is a new player in this market also. Their drives haven't been out long. I'm not sure if anyone has put them to the test yet, so we can't say much about reliability.

In the case of the 520, Anandtech tested them rigorously. They found a use case in BF3 where other sandforce drives would BSOD. The Intel drive did not. Don't know how extensively the Sandisk drives have been tested.

  • Anyone comment on their new SSD?
