not if the flames can get to it. It is paper.
I use this to line pans in my (indoors) kitchen oven
Yea I use baking paper in my oven too but looking for a disposable option for the bbq as well.
Thanks!
I've used it on a flat plate. it does get brown, but has not yet caught on fire. very good for public bbqs
.
@Nugs: I use that on the portable Korean BBQ plate but do wonder would it release harmful chemicals when it gets brown from the heat, the lining does help with cleaning even the Korean BBQ plate is non stick.
Terrible for the environment & landfill tho :(
I use this for my air fryer
came in to ask this very question - a friend was fairly certain BBQ would reach beyond the the paper's rated temp (~200 deg C I think it was).. subsequent BBQ became very messy
How bout aluminium foil?
I read it it can increase the aluminum content in your food.
Thanks OP. I've been stalking a decent discount on this for ages as well :)
Yep, I am the 1 subscriber to Multix Baking Paper haha.
Any deals on foil? Asking for a mate https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/692705
Is baking paper better than alum foil for normal use? I thinking to use baking paper for my savoury food in oven
I have baking paper at home, but honestly never even think to use it. I just use foil. I get the Multix 1/2 deals for that when they come up, similar to this.
I switched to baking paper in the oven for nearly everything a year ago off a recommend , it's brilliant, especially for chicken and where you have sugar based sauces that always stick to foil.
I have a hard time even computing this question, I use both, for different things, whats normal use ? :) Mostly paper for lining the tray and bottom, foil on top, and sometimes wrapping. A lot of stuff sticks to foil so I prefer using paper if the application allows. But foil definitely has uses that paper doesn't cover.
I try to use baking paper as foil always sticks to food.
Does anyone know how this compares with the Glad baking paper sold at Woolworths? I've used Glad and that's great quality - am not familiar with Multix's
I've used both and they are comparable. I usually use the Woolies brand, Glad, as well but Multix is just as good - imho.
Glad Bake & Cooking Paper performs better in my experience, which is most commonly for things like quiche, and spring rolls on a tray in the oven. I just looked online and found the Glad is rated for a higher temperature of 230C (Multix 220C).
Air fryer + baking paper combo is the best ;)
godsend
Goliath is 38cm wide. Multix is still cheaper $/m², but you use less when you can cover your tray with one piece no overlapping.
Mainly I use my baking paper to butter things like muffin pans. Rip a little bit off, rub off some butter and wipe in the pan.
Available again for those following.
Silly question. Can I use this on a gas Bbq like Weber? I have been using nonstick hotplate liner but it’s a bitch to clean after.
