    One of the many advantages is that you can cook on the stovetop and then put it straight in the oven.

  Got mine. Previous posts have said their cocotte may have been a seconds item but the one I received looked fine to me; cannot find any defects. Was a little dusty inside but I think this was normal (compared it with an unboxing video on yt which was also dusty). Amazon packed it fine, did not use the staub box as a shipping box. Staub box was sealed with staub tape. Only thing I can think of is my lid is missing a staub ribbon tied around the knob haha.
