You mean a rendered image? That's fairly typical of product listings…eg you don't see photos taken of say a couch. They're all just renders, or heavily photoshopped.
Random example: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/639324
Your example is not a rendered image, its just a green screened/cut image.
Yes rendered. I stared for a minute thinking of that word but kept having a brain fart lol.
Lol the almighty brain fart. Happens to me more than I'd like ¬¬
But yeah I'm thinking about it. I think it's just a bad render, particularly on the lighting. I feel like a lot of what we see are renders, they're just very good?
The lighting on this is just too smooth, and I think the cross bar shadows aren't quite right? And there aren't any manufacturing artifacts especially on the plastic, but it's hard to tell with lots res photos.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/691890Getting exports from their cad/drafting package is just a cost cutting thing, and they should be essentially perfect these days.
Edit I'm also not negging you. It's an interesting point you raise.
Hi, @he11bent. For some image reference of the actual smoker, please visit link below. Thank you.
Alright, so it does exist in store (I think in store). But you could haven't taken some better pictures or at least more pictures?
If you want to sell these you gotta do better. You can't just provide half assed pictures anymore in this day and age, with so much competition.
Or smart people will scoop them up. As soon as I saw the shipping weight of 35 KG I knew it was worth the punt. I should have bought two.
75% of the pictures in the Ikea website/catalogue is rendered.
‘Call store to place an order’
You expect people to accept inflated shipping quotes possibly going from $30-$80 to receive a product that will likely come missing pieces and underperform.
If anything goes wrong with the product, handling while delivery, good luck chasing a refund.
This is not the early 2000s where this sort of stuff is normal or acceptable.
Ok the call to quote is a bit 2000s. Their commerce platform should have this sorted for them.
But the rest is just a personal attack. You're assuming it's going to be inflated, you're assuming it's going to be missing bits and underperform (that's what you get for cheap Chinese junk, not the sellers fault) and you're assuming they're not going to honour ACL and resolve issues?
pick-up mon-fri closed weekends ….. delivery cost would be great ……..even if just to capital cities ,
fornettto are a major brand, bunnings carry some of their BBQs, so I don't have a quality issue, just be nice to be bale to order without the phone calls …..$295 delivered to Sydney Metro, Brisbane Metro, Melbourne Metro, Regional VIC, Adelaide Metro, Canberra Metro, Newcastle Metro, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Wollongong and Perth Metro. All other areas, please call for shipping cost
The shipping costs are higher than the actual product itself :|
sounds about right. Bought a record from Berlin for $10, shipping $70 lol.
Hi, @0bi1 Thank you for your feedback. We have updated our website now. Please disregard price of $295 as we have now dropped it to $99. Shipping cost might not necessarily be higher than the product, it will depend on the delivery address. For instance, we have recently sold one to Ashfield 2131 NSW and its postage is $35.00. Thank you.
$35 delivered to Sydney metro, along with a bunch of other stuff I added to my order.
It's black but that's not Vader
I don't understand so much negativity by some.
What are the grills made from?
Does it come with an inner grill for the charcoal?Hi, @bashar20 they are grillsmart cast iron grill (black matt enamel finish) and yes, it comes with charcoal/fuel grill.
Also any thoughts if this is as versatile as a Weber Original kettle?
ummm, is there not even a picture of the actual BBQ? So you've provided us a mock up?
