Bought the Xiaomi Dreame TROUVER Power 11 in an ebay deal last year, the battery died within a year. I'd look for something more reliable with a better warranty.

    • +24

You know you just listed 3 different companies and brands there? Xiaomi, Dreame and Trouver are all separate companies/brands. It's the latter who should be avoided given the battery issues.

      • +4

or pick a brand where replacement batteries are easy and cheap to get…

      • +3

Either they're friends or many shops have really bad listings:

        • +5

Xiaomi invests or buys startups and incorporates them into their ecosystem to work with their Mi Home app or to be sold in their stores. Dreame and Trouver are both companies that Xiaomi have invested in.

Putting Xiaomi infront makes them sell better. It's been like that for over 8 years. That linked deal just has a bad title.

    • I bought the unit (Xiaomi Dreame TROUVER Power 11) last year as well. It was still in warranty, and contacted the seller and the seller ignored my request. It was xiaomi-australia ! Please do not expect any after sales service from those chinese guys. They just want to get the money and. ACCC not gonna act.

I then have no choice but to replace the cells with Samsung 18650 lithium battery cells as I can't find the replacement.

It is now works far better (and longer) than the stock battery cells.

      • Where did you get the cells from? Was it compatible / easy enough? Thanks

        • +1

You can get the 18650 cells from local electronics store (jaycar, etc) or online. You will need the spot welding machine as well to attach the new battery strip onto the new cells.

It is not a quick job, but the vacuum is alive (and works far better and longer) if the battery cells replacement is done correctly.

Did you have an E6 error code showing before you replaced Trouver batteries or just dead batteries.
I have an E6 error and you gave me new hope so I removed all the batteries (unbranded).
I could charge them all to 4.2V in a charger so they seem healthy and suspect E6 means a faulty BMS charging circuit and not just bad batteries.
I will attach new Samsung batteries but don't hold much hope of them charging.

            • @KevCol: nope. just dead battery.

I replaced all the cells with samsung cells in its original battery compartment + its stock battery controller circuit, replaced all the battery strips as well, carefully spot welded the cells and the strips, soldered the strips back to the circuit board, plug it in with the original charger adaptor, it just happily charged it to 100% without drama.

i can run full power for about 30 mins , mid power for about 50-55mins now. I wasn't even get to 5 mins with full power with its stocked battery cells (after a few months usage since got it new) before the replacement.

    • I think got the same deal as you and the battery is cactus. After some debate they refunded part of the purchase price. You can actually find the battery on the dutch language version of alibaba. I decided not to throw good money after bad.

50 AW suction ensures powerful cleaning

    Only 50 ???

    • This vacuum isn’t meant to be used as a primary vacuum, it’s lightweight so that it’s easy to lift (for cleaning blinds for example)

  • are attachments interchangeable with Dreame v9 or v10?

  • How would this compare to the Baseus A3 15kPa?

      You can start with price

      • price is the same….

Then maybe look at size next…

My Dreames battery died almost a week after the warranty expired, so no way I'd buy this.

Our dyson dc35 is literally 8-10 yrs old and the original battery is still holding about 10 mins charge!

      Now that's quality!

      • My Dyson animal is 6 years old and I want it to die so I can buy a new one!! The Dyson customer service is amazing. They send out free parts even when the warranty has ended

        • +8

They send out free parts even when the warranty has ended

I've been calling them monthly for the last 18 months and now have enough free parts to build my first Dyson !!!!

        • -1

          Wait what!??? What parts?

  • +2

Cheap but has too less suction 50AW…. Dyson 7-year-old V7 has 110 AW compared to this one the whole point of vacuums are suction power…

    • +5

Well this one sucks at sucking I guess … Lol

    • Well it sucks.. wait, it doesn't !?.

  • This is apart of their clearance section on AZAU lol

I just registered to leave this comment.
    AVOID THIS VACCUM LIKE PLAGUE!
suction power is so weak that only MAX mode works like normal vaccum
But then it only works for 10 minutes and battery went flat.
And customer service is almost next to non exist, I had to be a bit rude to get them to agree on refunding me.
    DO NOT BUY THIS VACCUM!

are you comparing suction power to a dyson cordless, or a full corded vac?
our dyson cordless is always in MAX mode (and lasts around 10 mins), I find the standard mode isn't too useful.

      • +2

Not comparing with any model, just my personal experience.
Thanks for sharing, I guess I should only go for vaccum with wire.

      • MAX mode (and lasts around 10 mins),

        XD

I am using miele , it is so good

I think this Xiaomi only for light cleaning not for full house cleaning.

        • what's the runtime like, in max mode?

        • The HX1? What sort of runtime on max?

  • Have they made a motorised mop head for any of their vacs yet? With such little suction it's the only application that it would be handy.

  • Good enough to vacuum years of dust in tight spaces around my large old bed that's in a small bungalow I wonder ….?

  • This sucks
