Missing samsung pay is a big downside of the price

      • I haven't looked into it for this version (WearOS instead of Tizen now so may be different), but on the earlier watches, you could change the region with some tweaking to get Samsung Pay working.

      • Not sure about the Wear OS, but the previous Gear OS watches had no issues in my experience.

        • Even on Wear OS, Samsung Pay works in Australia even on watche from a different region.

      • Could you install Google Pay instead?

        • Yes

        • I found some CitiBank based Cards work with Samsung and not with Google Pay

          • +2

@asa79: Coles mastercard is also annoyingly Samsung Pay only and not Google Pay (not sure if Citi or not)

    • Last time I purchased Watch Active 2 from Kogan and it was an UAE model, ECG and Samsung Pay work straight out of the box, no ROM flash no region change.

    • Has anyone bought this watch and been able to pay/ECG? To note, I'm using a Poco F3

  • $319.20 on Samsung EDU store

very mediocre battery life, not worth it

Agree. I had it, sold and bought TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra in $339 and very happy with it.

      • how about apple watch? any experience with that. PS: I don't have an apple phone and will be using Samsung phone

        • +1

Unfortunately you need a apple phone to setup a apple watch, so if you have an android phone it wont be compatible with it

Do you find the TicWatch too big? Also is it too big to wear at night to take advantge of it's monitoring.

        • No, I don't find it too big. Actually its lighter than Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and I find it more comfortable to wear. But definitely don't wear it while sleeping.

      • How you finding software on that? I'm trying to work out whether to live with the fact Assistant doesn't do calls/SMS (and might not if/until WearOS 3 comes to it) or send it back.

        • I used Galaxy Watch 4 for a couple of months and now using Ticwatch. TBH, no difference in day to day use, mainly for receiving messages and calls alerts etc. Not much of a fitness freak, so happy with it so far.

        • Both TicWatch Pro 3 and Pro 3 Ultra are on a deal on Amazon if you want to buy either of the two:

Got samsung active 2, leaking after 2 year and 1month.

    No warranty repairs from sumsang.

Worried about quality of samsung watch

    • agree with this comment.

      What was leaking?

      • +1

must be either battery leakings, or meaning no more water resistants

      • +1

        Water resistant issue.

Better not use samsung watch for swimming
