I wish there were 50% cashacks available for book depository through both shopback and cash rewards and that there was a way to claim cashback through both on the one transaction.

    • +10

Unfortunately the affiliate space doesn't work that way. Only one cashback publisher will ever be paid commission for a sale :)

    • +1

Makes no sense? Use two different sites, to get 100% discount? I mean… doesn't pass the logic test unfortunately.

      • The dudes logic passes the Dumbo Testing though hehe .

      • whoooooosh…

    • +5

      LOL
I like your sense of humour!

    • +4

I agree. There should be 100% cashback on everything. Paying for goods and services without getting every cent back later is such a scam

    • lol

I wish there were 1000000% cashbacks so I wouldn't have to work anymore

  • +5

    Sweet, love this promo!

Does it have to be in stock? Would pre orders work?

    • +1

      Pre-orders work

    • The book I want isn’t released till November. It’s a bit of a leap of faith concerning the cashback going through, even if I remember!

  • +2

People have been asking for this? I assumed most Ozbargainers were illiterate who only understood by looking at the pictures.

    This needs a higher cap!

  • I don't like books but congrats on the 4034rd post.

    • I think you’ll find that was st, not rd. I wonder if the books just don’t like you?

      • +1

What did you expect from someone who dislikes books? ;-)

      • +14

It's actually th, not st. 🙃

Unfortunately this store seems to be 10 to 20% more in price vs competitors. That is without adding delivery fees

    • +1

      I thought delivery was free?

      • -1

        Only certain books I think

        • As in nonfiction?

          • @gimli: I think I misread the details! Shipping seems free.

    • +3

I doubt 10%-20% is true, the best price varies book to book although Book Depository can sometimes be more expensive even with free delivery.

      https://booko.com.au/ is your friend

      • is it just me or does booko site look weird now?

    • How much is delivery?

We are delighted to be able to offer FREE delivery on all orders, regardless of size, value or destination.

      from https://www.bookdepository.com/help/

    • I thought so too, the kids books way more pricier than amazon…

  • +6

it looked great. but found all the books i was watching much cheaper through amazon

    • +1

Did the maths, most of them still cost more on Amazon, after the BD discount

    • Which is hilarious because Amazon owns Book Depository.

    • must have been lucky with my books they were all much cheaper on an amazon sale

  • Yesssssssss! Thank you so so much!

  • Don't forget to use https://booko.com.au/

Has anyone seen Beatrix Bakes by Natalie Paull, for $30 or less around?

    • Target and Big W have it for $30

      So does Amazon

  • +1

They seems to always mark up prices before a discount.

  • +1

Been a while since an Etsy deal

  • +1

This is a deal but their books are so expensive. Looking at children books for example- Harry Potter Complete Set is $132 but I got mine for $65 from Big W Ebay, even less now with $5 off.

  • Seems like a very narrow timeframe to have a promotion. I'll forget for sure.

    • +2

yeah, was thinking the same, but thankfully i have a magical device in my pocket which can remind me of these things at specific times!

      • +1

You have pockets? Well la-di-dah look at mr pockets over here… :)

  • @TightArse can supreme be loosely translated to 100%?

  • I am new to slow/pressure/multicooking (recently bought the phillips 8L multicooker) and am after a decent recipe book. Any suggestions?

  • +1

As for free delivery, "Expires: Mar 30, 2022, 6:59:00 PM", just in time for this offer.
    (from the cashrewards page)

    Edit: Added source of quote.

    • Book Depository always has free delivery. Plus it says June?

  • +2

Bought at 7.15pm and already tracked. Thanks TA!

  • God they have really jacked up the price. Has anyone had luck from buying with other currencies?

    • Prices keep randomly changing and even doubling for me too.. weird

      • I noticed this too and tried using VPN to change to different countries. Sure enough the price changes for different countries.

  • +1

    thanks
    purchased and tracked already too!

  • +1

Interesting that the book I was going to purchase has gone up by about $10 during this promotion haha

    • +1

They seem to be about $40

  • +1

I’ve looked at 30+ books now and every single one is substantially more expensive on BD. It’s such a shame because they used to be my go to book store.

  • Most books I need are cheaper on Amazon, also faster delivery.

  • +1

damn, wish Janny Wurts final book in Mistwraith series was out now. I would buy that.

  • Got https://www.bookdepository.com/Marks-Identity-Juan-Goytisolo…

I think this is the longest I've waited since the last time I used this cash back. At one point last year there were like three of these within 3 months. I hope to get more this year.

  • +1

Just missed it. Love to see something like this taken again.

  • Weird, my purchase didn't track

    • Mine tracked within minutes using the CR app and mobile data

      • Same here, used desktop browser (chrome) without any extensions installed.

  • Mine tracked but I got slugged an international conversion fee even though it was quoted in AUD. What the heck?

    • -1

Westpac is guilty of doing that. Use an Amex if you have one

      • -1

Yeah, mine was Coles Mastercard. Only 50c but worth being aware of.

        • -2

I guess you have the No Annual Fee one? The Rewards one has no foreign transaction fee

          • -1

@kerfuffle: Yes. I have a 28 Degrees card that I use when I am knowingly being charged in a foreign currency. My point here is this wasn't made clear at all.

            • -2

@lordrupertliverpool: Blame your card, not Book Depository or CR. Westpac state that if the retailer isn't listed in Australia and charges in AUD, they'll slug a foreign transaction fee.

              • -1

@kerfuffle: I'm not blaming anyone - although I'm starting to feel like you're blaming me. Enjoy the weekend.

  • Really wanted to use this cashback but just can't find much on book depository these days… Everything is either pricier than elsewhere or not much of a difference to warrant the spending for sale of spending mantra haha.
