yeah thats why i didnt neg the deal, cause a lot of places seem to be out of stock - but nonetheless, the price isnt exactly what id call a bargain. its an alright deal if you purchase 4+ for the free shipping, other than that nothing special.

Yeah, we understand where you're coming from. We here to provide alternative means of supplying products to people outside of Melbourne(pccg+tkr) with the exception of free shipping included. Keep in mind, you can also purchase other items along with a fan or two and still be eligible for free shipping.
This "deal" is misleading. The quoted price for this fan is exclusive of GST - upon checkout the GST is added, making it $19.8 per unit. Hopefully this is only an oversight; in line with their Terms and Conditions, other products are indeed quoted at their GST inclusive prices with no suprises at checkout.

Thanks rep, just order 4 for $72, personally I think this is wicked as they are great fans (cost well below their worth) and I don't think I could get them locally (Perth) no matter what so for me this is def a bargain!

Is there a reason why one would get the Gentle Typhoon over the Noise Blocker Black Silent Pro? Looks like very similar in price and air flow but running at much lower RPM and noise level.
Hey blahman, people opt for the Gentle Typhoons mainly because they're running with water cooling. The Gentle Typhoons are top performing fans that provide static pressure, which in this case is very important for radiators.
The flow rate or CFM of air is very similar, but the Gentle Typhoons excel over the Noiseblocker PL2 fans in static pressure.
In the end, it comes down to personal preference, if you're using LOW FPI(fins per inch) radiators, any fan will do, as air can be easily pushed through the radiator, but if you opt for high fpi radiators, the Gentle Typhoons are the recommended fans to purchase.
As for noise levels, the Gentle Typhoons are suprising. In my opinion they are not as loud as they are rated, but if that is an issue and you would still like to purchase some, you can undervolt the fans with a fan controller, which will provide you with the similar performance at a lower noise level.
