Double standards for war… . I would rather donate to local Aussie affected by floods.

    • +10

no money for them but we have spare millions for weapons to Ukraine :)

    • +13

There was one for the fires 2 years ago:

      https://www.humblebundle.com/games/australia-fire-relief

      • Sad reality of these things was, too much money was raised and the allocation of the raised funds becomes a bit dodge.

    • +10

Why wouldn't you just donate without bitching about the other cause?

Makes you look a bit shit, to say the least.

"Oh, why that dog shelter wants money? I would rather donate to local Aussie affected by floods."
"Oh, why that bum wants a dollar? I would rather donate to local Aussie affected by floods."

    • +3

Whilst I agree that the people affected by floods deserve help and support, I struggle to see why they're more deserving than Ukrainian civilians affected by a war.

      • I struggle to see why they're more deserving than…

        Monkeysphere. Look it up.

  • Only a handful of games that haven't been free or in the usual bundles previously.

Probably only about 3 or 4 games worth buying, and I'm not sure that's enough for this price tag.

  • +17

Yeah, I'm out of down votes again.

  • If you get this you get a free spin to try to win something. I ended up getting a free game with a RRP of $40.

    https://www.fanatical.com/en/blog/fanatical-spin-to-win-how-…

    • From your link - "SPIN TO WIN HAS NOW ENDED - LOOK OUT FOR FUTURE PROMOTIONS!"

So may not apply to new customers.

  • Truberbrook isn't a bad game. Same goes for Railway Empire. Pity I already own most of these or I'd jump on it.

  • +7

    Russia sympathisers incoming.

    • +6

And they do everything to excuse bombarding hospitals and pushing the poor cannon fodder.

    • +15

Where? You should make a new post. People like free things here.

  • +2

    Wow, what a comment section.

Games are ok. Probably worth the price considering how many you get lol.

    • +2

This bundle is definitely more like the free charity show bag that you get when you make a donation larger than $X. Definitely not a knock on the cause or the bundle itself. I did buy one but, unfortunately it's come after the Humble one so it just doesn't have the same impact as it might otherwise have had.

      • Oh for sure and with Itch.io's 10 bucks one that contain well known games like cross code, this pales in comparison. But hey, like you said, not a knock on the cause lol.

        • +1

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I got that one too.

Didn't realise you have to kind of add the games, books and stuff manually before you could see them in your library. Actually had to go back and add all of the games from the BLM bundle too. Would have taken forever if I hadn't found a script to just add them all, albeit a page of 30 at a time. Still took a long time. Maybe I'll get to playing something from one of them one day…

  • +2

    Great bundle thank you OP.

  • +1

I've never heard of any of these games, except for Among Us. Are they all random low effort shovelware?

What's the point in padding out your Steam library with games 99% of which you'll never even install.

    • Haven't heard of many of the games on the list, though some do stick out like Gang Beasts and TABS, and Among Us like you mentioned. Those are the few standouts in the list.

  • +7

Ukraine citizen defends it's self = heroes
    Palestinians defending itself = terrorist

    • +6

Don't think anyone on here said that and what has that to do with PC games and Ukraine?

      • +6

        they are relevant

        • -2

          It's really not

    • -2

PLO and Hamas are terrorist organizations. Unless you call suicide bombing defending yourself.

      • +1

Shut up and educate yourself on this topic. Hamas wouldn't exist if Israel didn't illegally occupy Palestinian lands and bomb the f out of them.

  • +5

I found myself resenting having to click the steam agreement check each time I redeemed a game - especially relevant for a bundle of this size.
    I created a javascript bookmarklet.
    javascript:(function() {var aa = document.querySelectorAll("input[type=checkbox]"); for (var i = 0; i < aa.length; i++){ aa[i].checked = true; }var bb = document.getElementById("register_btn"); bb.click()})()

Drag the above into your bookmark bar
Click on Redeem game on Steam (from Fanatical)
    Click your bookmarklet
Also works with other bundles i.e. humble

Save yourself maybe one whole click for each game.

  • +3

For those that haven't heard of these games (other than Among Us lol), here are some of my recommendations from the bunch:

Gang Beasts, Stick Fight, ROUNDS - Really fun multiplayer games, especially with friends :)
Hidden Folks - Very cute and charming hidden object game
Cube Escape Collection - One of the best escape room series currently available (note that all of the games included can be played individually online for free, this just bundles them together as an offline game and adds achievements and stuff)
Nuclear Throne - Really fun and content-rich 2D shooter, similar to Enter the Gungeon
TABS - Haven't played it personally but heard a lot of good things about it

  • +3

I don't know why OzBargain allows the active propagation of Russian disinformation on this site? The team should step up to stop these baseless comments being published. OzBargain editorial policy states hate speech is not permitted and disinformation supporting the invasion of another country and deaths of thousands of civilians on a daily basis equates to hate speech.

    • +5

      100% agree

    • +1

      This.

  • +6

A lot of complaining going on about $20ish towards a worthy cause and a bunch of games for your collections. Buy or do not buy

    • +3

Read complaints about obvious double standards or do not read complaints about obvious double standards.

  • -1

Another one? Understandable, lives attached to blue eyes and blonde hair are worth more according to the media after all. If anything these deals are just a reminder for me to search for charities for other under-promoted causes at this point.

    • WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT

I am sorry that the millions displaced and unknown number of civilians murdered is not enough for you to give a shit.

      • +1

Didn't say I don't give a shit and I've purchased the first bundle that came out. But I'm sorry my concern for worse ignored atrocities with higher casualties(That your type clearly doesn't give a shit about based off your comment) and where I chose to contribute my future donations triggers you, lol. cope. If you're that passionate about this issue how about you contribute your own funds instead of crying in the comments of an expired sale.

        • +1

This post is to raise money for the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. It is an urgent crisis that needs attention.

Coming in here and accusing those who donate as selfish people who only care about white people is dumb and offensive. It may surprise you, but people who are donating money to help the Ukrainians are also donating to help out other people who don't have blonde hair.

If you don't want to donate, just don't reply, your not adding anything by having a cry.

          • @Aureus:

Coming in here and accusing those who donate as selfish people who only care about white people is dumb and offensive

Again, you're putting words in my mouth because you have no argument here or need to work on your comprehension skills. My issue was with the lack of attention, nowhere near the same scale as Ukraine, for other ongoing atrocities with far worse casualties and biased media coverage. If you think the suffering of Ukraine is more 'urgent' than others then you're just proving my point.

Again if said concern or what I do with my wallet rustles your jimmies you can choose to ignore it, instead of crying on a deal which expired hours ago and not adding anything. I have better things to do, you can continue to have a whinge over here by yourself.

            • -1

@[Deactivated]: Don't need to work on my comprehension skills. It is called implication.

You are saying that the media only cares about Ukraine because of the western people living there, which is bullshit. Your source is a short clip of one person.
As a result of that lots of charity drives are created because of course people in the west only care about blonde hair people. And now the people posting these charity deals and donating, clearly only care about it due to it being blond haired people.

              • +2

                @Aureus:

You are saying that the media only cares about Ukraine because of the western people living there, which is bullshit.

It's literally what each of these newscasters been quoted saying, lol. "This war is different because it's westerners and not x 3rd world country."

a short clip of one person

I wouldn't expect you to be the observant type since you keep trying to deny the obvious double standard, but it's an entire thread of similar clips from different outlets, not just '1'. Many more have been shared since then if you search. There are literally tens of thousands of people discussing the double standards in that thread and several people in here mentioning the same about these deals(which have become repetitive enough to be reduced to low value shovelware bundles at this point). You can gaslight all you want but people have more common sense that that and do their own research/make decisions based off their own, probably longer life experiences, rather than listen to some kid screaming on the internet with no counter-sources and crying about wHaTaBoUtIsM. Considering how hard you keep trying to twist what I say, the way you opened this conversation and the fact that you're still obsessed in the comments of a 1 day old expired deal, it's pretty clear you're just here to troll. Hope you got the attention you wanted buddy.

  • I have kind of wanted pizza connection 3 for a while, but I do not know the other games, maybe not worth it just for one game for me, unless I can find another game in there I am interested in. Good idea though :)

    • buy it and give me the other games

  • +3

I someone would like to donate more directly, "Come Back Alive" is the biggest, well regarded and likely the most efficient fund in Ukraine: https://www.comebackalive.in.ua/

Alternatively, here is the official account for helping the Ukrainian Army: https://bank.gov.ua/en/news/all/natsionalniy-bank-vidkriv-sp…

  • +1

    Really should have included Wolfenstein.

  • -1

    A collection of sh!tty shovelware for a sh!tty virtue-signalling cause. Pass.

    • +5

So, which causes are not "virtue-signalling"? The ones you like?

      • +1

No, because I don't flush money away donate to so-called charity organisations and NGOs with questionable funding, leadership, agendas and piss-poor transparency/accountability as to how that money is used.

If I want to help someone, I'll help them directly.
I don't pat myself on the back for giving a few dollars to some nameless, faceless organisation to supposedly help people on the other side of the world and pretend I'm morally superior to others for doing so, which seems to be the primary motivation for most of the cringey, supposed humanitarians on here.

        • That's a lot of assumption about the intentions of the organisers of that bundle.

I don't know about transparency of Fanatical, but it seems that according to your logic, I should assume kids with charity cans on streets pretend they're morally superior to others, right?

        • +2

The money goes to the Red Cross to help in Ukraine. It's hardly a nameless, faceless organisation.

        • +2

So you seem to be not self aware enough to recognise that you are pretending to be morally superior to others for supposedly "helping people directly."

What kind of a person tries to shit on a charity and people trying to raise money for a good cause? Perhaps it is time for some self reflection.

  • The only thing I can offer since the deal is over is my skill set.
I have a 3.49 KD in BFV so if the want my elite skills in a drone or something, then I am happy to help.

  • yeah the games aren't the best but the humble bundle one is better.

  • -3

All taken by the brain dead bunch.

    • +2

That's a bold statement on big issues coming from a no-name without any argumentation.

A Russian troll we call you these days. Here, you're fed.

  • +6

There's a whole bunch of clowns posting rubbish about this campaign when the fact is this is a humanitarian fund raiser to help civilians.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-25/a-girl-her-hamster-ha…

This is what this is for. This is the effect of war. Bang on all you like about 'what about such and such' or 'Ukraine is full of Nazis' but the fact is this is what's happening. People's lives are being torn apart because a foreign power has invaded another. Yes it happens elsewhere and yes it's just as terrible there. This fund raiser though, is to try help relieve and help that in some small way. And if someone says anything about my 'MSM' source, you really are a clown.

    • +3

Don't forget that this cyber-army has been roaming social media for more than a decade, preying on those susceptible to the strongman-authoritarian-libertarian bent. Without impunity or consequence. This is what they do. We are lucky to live in a country where our basic education allows 80-90% of us to be able to do basic critical thinking.

      • +1

where our basic education allows 80-90% of us to be able to do basic critical thinking.

Hahahahaha. Oh ffs, have you spoken with an average Australian before?

Unless you're talking about work, footy/"the game", drinking, "the weekend", how to be stingier or whinging about other people, they don't have a f**king clue.

They're especially lacking in their knowledge of history, politics and philosophy which are fundamental prerequisites to being able to decipher the truth in today's world.

But sure, everyone who disagrees with your thoroughly mainstream, status quo opinion promoted by literally 95% of media outlets, is another victim of the Russian cyber warfare disinformation campaign.

Edit: Also, you have a profile badge for submitting 25 or more reports to the moderators. I didn't even know that existed. Lol and you joined last year. The irony of you complaining about other people falling victim to echo chambers when you're constantly hitting the report button whenever you encounter opposing views.

        • +1

Australians do not critically think at all, I agree with your comments completely

        • Nice stereotyping. I bet that required a lot of critical thought.

        • Jesus, you have a very dim view of the world. Is that really how you feel about the citizens of the country in which I assume you live?

You criticise others for disagreeing with your views and you don’t engage with anyone bringing up reasonable counters.

You make wild assumptions about those who wish to support civilians affected by war, and offer no practical alternatives to try and help educate people.

If you feel so strongly, figure out a way to communicate with people, try and educate and inform.

  • +7

scotty we need more negs. 5 doesn't go far these days.

  • +3

Imagine if the Aussie govt. made it a condition for those on Centrelink to go to RUbargain.com.ru to relentlessly tell Russian gamers to stop critical thinking. Wouldn't that be a laugh

    • the mass media does it instead

      • Say hi to Putin for me

  • +1

Oh god. I wish Ukraine is finished soon.
    Enough of this nonsense.

  • +3

Oh FFS!! This is OZB! If the deal is good, buy it. If not, don't buy it. Leave the political sh*t at the door.

  • +1

    Stan Grant approves

  • -2

Is Zelensky donating towards his countrymen too, seem to have millions in his bank account https://www.occrp.org/en/the-pandora-papers/pandora-papers-r…

    • +2

You suggesting the guy who is Russian target number 1 is not doing all he can to fight the war?

      • Take this news for an example https://www.wionews.com/world/ukrainian-politicians-wife-nab…

Are they donating or supporting the resistance? nah its the media making western middle class citizens feel obligated through brainwashing while same people paying $2.50 at the pump to fill their tanks thanks to the same western political stance. Just google to find out Zelensky and oligarch backing he has, do you think he donated? I am just sharing information that western media wouldn't report. Up to you to make up your mind.

Also at the same time think how much western countries have donated to Ukraine in military aid, $ billions, do you think there would be such unity to feed the world's poorest countries? kids dying in all sorts of african countries mate, did you ever spend 5-mins of your time to find out? or do you care about the middle eastern and african food crisis? did you donate or buy any Steam games to support them?

        • LOL at a random piece of news from a random news outlet being a source of truth and a base for a - seemingly - larger opinion.

          Imagine this conversation:
          - Did you see ALL those videos and photos of Russian missiles hitting civilians in Ukraine?
          - Yeah, but you know, there's this Ukrainian wife that smuggled money I read about on Wionews.

          • -2

@pizzaguy: So you base your opinion on CNN, News.com.au, Guardian and ABC is it?

            I rest my case.

            • +2

@Niceye: Well, not only from those, but generally from the world's most reliable sources, as opposed to Russian state-controlled outlets or your aspiring niche website by some "young journalists", as you can read there.

              • +1

@pizzaguy: Ahh he's busted out the old 'MSM deflection'! I do rather enjoy this move.

Unfortunately though, its implementation lacked finesse. How disappointing.

                • @Orion au: What's your point? Can you prove otherwise?

              • @pizzaguy: Did I mention any articles from a Russian controlled media outlet? also I am keen to know what "world's most reliable sources" are.

                • @Niceye: No single source. Compare what the most popular sources from countries with established democratic tradition and some social capital say - BBC, CNN, our ABC, DW.com, whatever you can translate. Check each source's alignment, so it's not (too) radical.

If you'd rather ridicule what I listed and prefer niche websites - your choice, but you become unreliable yourself then and can maybe have a discussion with tinfoil hats.

                  • -1

@pizzaguy: I wasn't ridiculing, I was genuinely questioning what sources you get your information from. No single source is a good policy but after saying so listing BBC, ABC, DW defeats the whole purpose as they are all state sponsored news agencies except for CNN (then again we know the biases of them).

The sources you listed are one sided though there is no other way to do it rather than actually listening to western and non-western sources. You only listed all the western media, not the other ones.

If you truly need the truth you do need to keep an neutral head and actually go the hard yards to translate Ukranian and Russian channels.

We always hear the cries of Ukranians (and comedy of Zelensky) but did we ever hear the cries of this Syrian boy back in 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S55C5GTG40w ?? Where was the steam humble bundle to support them? were there even 2min of coverage a day in ABC or in CNN back then? Naaaah.

I am just putting it out there as it is unbearable, the hypocrisy and brainwashing of MSM because of their state backing and pushing their own agenda, not the other side of the story.

                  • @pizzaguy: Anyway, just to prove the point I will list some sources that you can closely relate to as they are from the west

.. but never published on the TV was it?

  • Slava Ukraini !

  • Says out of stock…. do they get more keys or that's that?

    • Says out of stock…. do they get more keys or that's that?

      Could be either.
This is the second time it has gone out of stock. 9 hours ago they mentioned on their socials "a hey big thank you to everyone that bought it and to everyone else sorry it's now finished." Yet around 7 hours ago they relaunched it with no updates to the original social posts or any new posts saying it was back but limited to X.

      • Ukraine needs more stingers so they reactivated it

    • Devs donated 10k keys for each game so unless they go and get another batch from each dev its probably done.

  • +1

i never realised so many crappy little games existed. I mean, people spend the time and effort making junk? Do they at least pull a half decent wage out of this?

    • +1

I only eat at Quay, Vue de Monde, Oncore & Brae. I never realised so many crappy little restaurants exist. People spend the time and effort making junk? Do they at least pull a half decent wage out of this?
