Buying 2 now, I'll look at the specs after. I'm such a sucker for Xiaomi power banks, I literally have 4 already at home

Edit: paid $40.14 for the two! Banger deal OP!

    • literally have 4 already at home

Do you actually use them or are you throwing away money that could be spent elsewhere?

      • +1

Yes! They are a godsend. 2 power banks are dedicated towards my $9 Spanst LED Light Sticks (4 sticks in total) which really comes in handy whenever there is a power outage (quite often!). I have one in my backpack that charges my phone + headphones and one for my ts100 solder iron.

        • Interesting use cases. Thanks.

  • +2

Another one to add to the neverending collection…

Now to look for a case, which won't be easy cause of how new it is.

    • You're like me then except I can never find them. Recently I discovered the small portable charging stations with AC ports and that's been dangerous. Got this one for about $120 and charges my escooter. Not too heavy or big either.

Have a bigger one coming now.

      • Recently I discovered the small portable charging stations with AC ports and that's been dangerous.

I've known about them for a while, but they are usually too expensive and/or poor quality. All the 'reputable brand' (Anker, Jackery, etc) are usually very expensive or US Plugs only.

      • I've also been looking at these larger power banks but have been nervous about the quality of the cheaper ones on eBay and the likes.

I'd probably be looking for a higher capacity one too (ideally with USBC with Power Delivery)

I'd be interested to know what the larger one you've gone with is like, once you get it?

        Thanks

        • +1

Was just a larger capacity generic one that I've opted for. The cheapest branded ones I've found in Australia would be EcoFlow. This one for $699 full price has a USB-C 100W socket, plus 2 AU sockets.

Goes on sale quite regularly I believe. Good for camping too.

    • i thought i was the only one who bought cases for my powerbanks. i'm on the hunt for another 5000mAh powerbank since my very first xiaomi one is on its way out

    • So did you manage to find a case by any chance? :3

      • +2

I just purchased a 'Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 3' Case..hopefully it's the same size.

        • Just looked at the dimension of this power bank to the old one with micro usb, both are the same. So I'm 100% sure it will fit this case. I bought one aswell! Woo!

          • @Riqodex: Received my Power Bank Today (and the case a few weeks ago) and confirm it fit perfectly.

            • @RichardL: Lucky you! jealous I've got to wait another week because of easter holiday even though the package is close by :/

            • @RichardL: Also, bit surprised you got the case first, did you order it on the same day? I ordered the silicone case and a hard cover case which prob delayed it because they got combined delivery.

              • @Riqodex: Mine was also combined AliExpress Post (arrived in <1 week from order, which was a surprise).

                • @RichardL: Just got the powerbank today (case was yesterday) the silicone case fits but damn it took a while to put it in.

                  • @Riqodex:

the silicone case fits but damn it took a while to put it in.

Was also the same in my case, took a little force to pull the case over the power-bank.

The case is also a dust magnet just like most silicon case.

  • They're a bit slippery

  • Mine is coming to $24.19

    • +4

Untick the shipping insurance. BG's AU$ rate is likely to be inflated.

    • +4

      Uncheck 'Shipping Insurance'

    • Thanks guys

  • +5

Omg it’s been a while since we had some decent xiaomi power bank deals

  • My old ones swelled up. I wonder if these do too.

    • +2

All batteries have that risk. My old 10400mAh and 5000mAh Xiaomi power banks are perfectly fine still.

      • +1

I'm pretty sure the original Xiaomi 10400mAh were using Lithium-Ion Cells (4x18650), which are less prone to swell (Mine still going strong, just bulky to carry around)

Lithium polymer on the other hand are known to swell due to being damage or overheating for long period of time (My Xiaomi 5000mAh still works too)

        • Yep I forgot that part. My 5000mAh poly has been fine then :P

        • They only use 2x18650 cells for the 10000mAh ones

source: went into the water at the beach forgetting that it was in my pocket, tried to take it apart to fix it and failed

  • How did you get free shipping?

    • I didn't really have to do anything, I think it might be default…? Despite it saying otherwise.

    • I think code also removes shipping cost. Price in the title includes delivery and is correct though.

      • Ah yes you're right. Thanks!

    • +2

Price in title actually includes shipping so if you buy 2 or more (thus over their free shipping threshold) the per unit price will drop even more.

I just paid $56.49 for 3 power banks.

  • Why is there literally no information about this powerbank on the internet. Also dislike how they changed the branding from 'mi' to xiaomi on the front :(

    • +1

The model is PB100DZM. Pop that into Google and you will.

      • +1

Found way more information on Baidu. I was just concerned for a bit as I expected there to be more info on Google as a Xiaomi product.

  • +1

First purchase and account, got it for $20.61
    Great deal and thanks OP!

  • where do you enter the code please?

    • +2

In the coupons bit in the checkout page

  • Got mine for $19.74 thanks

  • Got 2 for $38.14
    Thanks OP, good deal

  • Is this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/690363 pretty much the same as far as features go? Need a 20000 or better off getting two of these 10000?

    • The smaller one doesn't have 45W output.

I prefer the smaller 10,000mAh model. It fits easily in my pocket with a phone.

That said, I've recommended the larger one for friends and family who play Pokemon.

  • When i add the code BGb19cdc the rrp changes from $28.62 to $40.88 + $4.08 shipping = $44.96 - $21.81 = $23.15 without shipping insurance, how are people getting it for $19.74?

  • Thanks OP. Got 2 silver for 37.26 A$

  • Got 2 black ones for $34.73 (make sure to untick shipping insurance)

  • still have the old original 5000mah version with micro usb b
    works but slowly charges

  • +1

Bought mine 5+ years ago (10000mah) and it's still going strong like its brand new. Definitely 1 of my best Xiaomi purchases ever

  • +1

Don't know about features, but the grey one looks like the free ones Samsung gave away a few years ago.

    • I got one of those samsung ones and yes it pretty much looks identical

      • I have a few Samsung ones and they are great except for the fact that the USB-C port is used for charging the power bank only (it is not bidirectional).

  • 2.5W too low for Samsung 25W fast charge?

  • I bought these a while back and didn't read the fine print.

USB C is not an output.

    • +1

Specs say usb-c output 5v/3A, image shows usb-c port says output/input.

Perhaps you have a different model.

  • +2

Expired. "This coupon can only be used 300 times"

  • +4

Looks like coupon code is expired

    • Yep, same here.

    • “Can only be used 300 times”.

  • +2

Sleepy me saw the thumbnail of this post and thought it was a PS5 😅😅🤣🤣

  • silly question, does all the 3 USB ports support PD?

    • -1

      In the specs

      • was that a yes or no?

USB-A could be for QC charging protocol.
I know USB C can delivery PD, I am not sure if USB A types can do PD.

        • I looked a bit into it. PD is possible over c to c only.

  • I got one thanks.
Blitzwolf BW-P9 looked nicer and still avaliable $23.16 for those that missed out.

    • +1

Those have an all plastic construction and don't feel nearly as sturdy (or nice) when you're holding them. It feels like a cheap powerbank

I cannot speak to their build quality beyond the shell though, I've only had one for a few months. Still working as expected so far.

      • Thanks!, I'm glad I got the Xiaomi one then.

  • Looking for a power bank for headmount quest 2, any 10K powerbank that is very light? Found this but not sure if there are better/lighter ones.

Thanks. BGb19cdc. This coupon can only be used 300 times. AU$40.88 standard price. I missed out…

  • New price $28.49+$4.50 shipping. Same original link.

  • just been refunded by BG, saying they cannot supply?

    • What time did you order? Mine was shipped after 1 hour.

    • Same for me. I dont understand why others were not refunded?

    • Mine just says out of stock, and I can wait for restock or request refund

    • Shipped today, shame they didn't send you one. I recently ordered this other decent one on Amazon as well if you wanted to pay a bit more
