  • Didn't Mikeshashimi already mention this in http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/69036?

If you found out about this deal from them then you should really give them some credit as well.

    • Yeah, sorry I did originally see it there, I will edit it.

  • Reputable? Anyone dealt with these guys before?

I don't suppose the physical nets you a digital until the disk arrives? :S

    • Bought Skyrim PS3 from there ebay shop about 2 months ago, arrived in gd condition. There feedback rating is 99.7% (user: ozsave-games)

  • all this stuff about not being region locked, and the market place being region locked is too confusing. Tempted to wait a month and pay the extra $20 in jb hifi or whatever it is to save the hassle.

    • The way I understand your region is determined by your Battle.net account region when you activate D3. This means you can buy the UK version of D3 but once you activate it the game will determine your region by looking at your Battle.net accounts region.

The money auction house, which deals with real money, will be locked to what your game region is. You can access the gold auction house, which uses in game gold, in any region but cannot transfer purchases across regions.

If you have an Aussie Battle.net account then the default region you will join after activation will be the American one and the money auction house will also be locked to the American region.

      More info:
      http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4175551303

      • That is incorrect. This game will not be region locked. You will be able to select which server you play on.

The RMAH WILL be region locked, but exact details have not yet been revealed by Blizzard. It is likely that you will be locked to the region listed on your battlenet account.

        • Perhaps I should clarify what I meant. The game is not region locked but your account will be tied to a default region upon activation which in turn will determine which RMAH you use. You can access and create characters in other regions but, like purchases in the gold auction house, you cannot transfer or use them across regions.

  • I havent put in a lot of research on this game.
But ive been "told" its NOT region locked, however the "Auction House" (where you buy/sell ingame items) will be

Is this true? <did i even make sense?>

    • Game is definitely not region locked, auction house is locked to where you have your region set to be presumably, when you get into your battle.net account, it shows you which region the account is attached to, that is where the AH will be locked to.

+1 deal better price than KenGamer, more competition please

  • Important question:

With the digital version, will this site allow you to download the game prior to the release date, and then give you the CD key on the release date?

    is that how this works?

    • +2

You can already download and install the game from the below link (posted by rep in http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/69036) but you will have to wait until the 15th to play it. Don't know if you get the cd key now or on the release date from this site.

      http://eu.media.battle.net.edgesuite.net/downloads/d3-instal….

    • Only way to download the game before hand is to:

      1. Buy the game (or get wow for 12 months) from Blizzard

      or

      1. Get someone who has done the above mentioned to send you the download/install file which should let you download the game (but not install it)
      • +3

or 1. goto the link mentioned by vt and download the installer which preloads the game to your PC (the game launcher will NOT start/load without the decryption key, see below)

I did downloaded the installer and pre-loaded the 7.6GB payload a couple of days ago and I did not purchase the game from Blizzard.

CD-KEYs are released by outlets on the 15th. Login to battle.net, add key to account, this provides entitlement to the game and then you download a 'patch' (again on the 15th) which is basically a specific decryption key to the files that were pre-loaded.

        Enjoy.

        • thanks fellas

  • Bought it, thanks!

    • about to buy two copies, one for myself and one for my mate, I do hope that the site is trustworthy and what-not. Will definitely be paying with paypal, my question is did you have any hiccups in the process or was it clean and simple?

      Thanks

      • Was clean and simple. I got the digital version from them. It did this weird thing where you give your phone number and they call you and tell you a code to put in, but otherwise it was very standard. I paid with PayPal too.

There is no reason what so ever to buy this game before release.

Preload the game and buy the cheapest key on the day.

  • +1

as a diablo fan, I would assume everyone's gonna buy a physical copy for collection purpose. it's more expensive but it's worth it

    • Yeah, I agree. I mean it would be a pain to have to play with a CD every time (unless I'm grossly outdated), but its nice to have something physical.

      • Once the game is installed the DVD will be pretty much useless. All it does is save you downloading the 7GB file everytime you install it.

        • If I had a million people asking for a burnt copy of the game, I would be a millionaire!

          Let's get physical

  • Excellent price, but I need to point out that it's UK stock, meaning your Auction House will be region locked to the UK and you will be trading with pounds meaning those paypal conversions might begin to get rather pricey. I highly recommend sticking to the Australian version or importing an American copy.

Only the game itself is region free, the Auction House if you wish to do money trading is region locked. If you wish to never touch the money aspect of the Auction House by all means purchase this version.

As mentioned earlier in this page, the details have not actually been released by Blizzard. The best assumption is that the RMAH will be locked to your battlenet country setting. It is in Blizzard's best interests to have as many people as possible using the RMAH (they get a cut), so they will do their best to get people using it in their own currencies.

      • +2

… and I don't mean that we'll be trading in AUD, seeing as we'll be based on the American servers.

    • I've been hearing a lot about this but who is actually planning to use the RMAH? I guess I'm not the kind of guy willing to shell out over $100 for the collectors edition so perhaps this is just over my head but is this a case of

      a) pay for the game
      b) play the game
      c) Oh I want this shiney virtual bauble so I can kick other peoples butts in PVP so I will pay more real dollars to have an advantage over other people who dont have as much money as me?

I think if we are scrounging round to save a few buck on buying this we may not be the people that are willing to spend more real money on a virtual widget (hell if I was Blizzard I'd be posting the widgets @$20 each and gouging extra money off rich folks that want an advantage that only money can buy, why let the players make real money when the game devs can..)

      • +1

I'd say most people here are planning on selling stuff, not buying it. You didn't mention anything about selling.

  • Hmmm think I'll risk it…

  • Guys it is highly likely that RMAH will be locked to the region you BUY it from.

So you would be locked to EU RMAH in this case.

Have a read over this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4661688031

Okay, for anyone who's interested in the RMAH and region discussion, Blizzard has just released official information on it. Feel free to go ahead and buy a UK copy, it's all good!

If you want it with the disk then for $56.99 you can get it here http://www.ozgameshop.com/pc-games/diablo-iii-3-game-pc-and-…

  • Just wanted to chime in - I just received my game code and successfully redeemed it via Battle.net. Very happy!

  • Still waiting on mine :(

  • waiting on mine too. wont be buying from these guys again if i dont get my key tonight.

    • actually, i just checked my original invoice and there was a tiny link to a photo of my key in it, not that anyone told me how to find it!

  • Deal expired? Now $58.90 on the site.

  • 2 emails later and I still have not received my CD-Key, They keep saying they will release the CD-Keys within a couple of hours in batches but nothing is getting done! Very unhappy with the service although I guess you can't expect much for a price like this..

  • I see it's $64.90 now, but that's still cheaper than anywhere else I can find the key. Worth getting?

  • Still haven't received my pre-ordered physical copy of the game from them. Sent an email through the contact link but haven't heard a response yet :(

    • hey dogboy, i havnt recieved my physical copy from ozsave either. this was for a friend. i did buy digital from ozsave and i got that.
