      found this 3080 which is about $200 more. I would rather get a 12gb one and wait for same price or less than the previous afterpay deals.

    Its too early to say, maybe wait a week to see. Am not buying 3XXX though, too late now to buy old stuff. But I might change my mind as Quest 2 is entering home today and I am not sure how much my 1080 can holdup ;) I will try a few games and then decide.

      You'll need 3080 for Quest 2. or at least 3070 Ti. 40xx is still 6 months away or more till it reached here.

        Ah, its reached. I cant open it till 5 till I finish work :( Ya I know it needs better card, but for now if alyx works thats enough.

      Got 980ti + Quest 2, no worries at all via Virtual Desktop, frames hold up pretty good. Wireless connectivity (Airlink) with PC is now native to quest 2 so you probably won't need Virtual Desktop.

        I read that Virtual Desktop is still better than Airlink? But then Airlink does frame smoothening. I just have a AC68U wifi 5 router. Hope that should be enough.
