  • Is there Marvel vs capcom on Switch?

Worth it just for SF2. I'd buy a spare controller for button mashing though - don't think the joycons will hold up.

    • sf needs a stick

        https://www.8bitdo.com/arcade-stick/

I have one of these (earlier version). and it's not bad. Can't compare it to HORI / madcatz sticks, but it's not bad

        • +1

It's one of the best budget sticks you can buy. You can also upgrade the stick and buttons to Sanwa parts.

@dano: yeah I was ready to that but i actually didn't mind the stock buttons (the stick is a bit rubbish).

and my best SF days are behind me so doesn't matter if i use a madcatz stick or a budget stick, the result would be the same hah

Why not just buy SF2 with 2.95?

    • Nah. It's the unfair arcade version.

Totally worth every cent, been keeping an eye on the physical copy which rarely drops below $50, so digital it is.

Loved these games in the arcade

    GET OVER HERE!!

Movie wasn’t too bad either. Hopefully they focus on Johnny cafe

      Hope you are joking.

Just read my comment now sometimes I type and hit post without reading but I meant to say Johhny cafe not Johnny cafe

      C-C-C-Combo Breaker!

  • Can anyone comment on the ease of getting a real competitor online?

  • I want to buy this and I don't have a switch

    • +19

      Buy now. Switch later.

  • Do you need the Nintendo online service to buy this? I switched it off because I don’t use as much but I want this game.

    • You need a switch account to login as identity

  • I have a arcade stick pads with USB connection, wondering if it works on switch

  • Are fighting games worth getting on the Switch Lite? Or are the controls just not good enough to really get the hang of things?

    • For this game, I would have to say no. You are going to want either an 8bitdo, pro controller or wired gamecube style controller to play this if not an arcade stick. I tried playing samurai shodown in handheld mode and it was frustrating.

  • Anyone has the problem with payment or logging onto PayPal via Switch eshop?

    • Nope just bought it no problem

      • Thanks will try again.

I was so excited to buy the physical copy of this a few years ago. Played it twice since 😂

    Haduken!!

  • Alpha series.. Does that include alpha 2 and zero 2?

    • It contains Alpha 1, 2 and 3.
Zero series is the same as Alpha, just called Zero in Japan.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_30th_Anniversar…

      • Zero 2 and alpha 2 isnt the same

Holding down 3 kicks and pressing start on alpha doesnt work.

Also hold start up down left right vs double tap on ryu (alpha vs zero), let alone mame roms

Just a heads up, online plan is very laggy as you are frequently matched with overseas players.

  • Can you use the SNES wireless controller whilst playing?

  • For those that either (a) don't have a switch (b) concerned about competitive play lag (c) prefer non console (d) looking for a cheaper/free alternative, though with questionable legality…

    Consider https://www.fightcade.com/

Note: I thought I go ok at arcade games, but I have got whooped by everyone I've played against, and even played some co-op games (e.g. Capcom beat em ups) where it is clear the other person is x100 better than me. So maybe not great for beginners!

Having said that, I am very tempted by this deal.

  • I dont have nintendo online membership. Should i still buy this game for 9 yr kid at this discounted price? Also will he able to play using oled standard joycon?

    • You can play using the joycon.

  • Do the games play on the switch screen with borders or are they full wide screen

    • There's different options
