What’s wrong with 48 inches
size matters
It's not the size that matters, but how close you sit to it.
@ifreddo: why sit so close by yourself when you can watch it with a 'friend' by getting a bigger one ;)
Sorry mate but it has been cheaper ~$1740? just a few days ago during afterpay day - which means may get even cheaper when the C2 comes out soon :)
Which wasn’t very accessible to many due to afterPay Limits.
Afterpay limits was easy to work around by purchasing eBay gift cards to top up the difference. I did that to get the 55". Agree with agalea101, this is not a good deal.
Oh yeah haha your right with the workaround - buying GC and then using AP for the rest to get the code?
@agalea101: yup. Minimum for Afterpay promo was $50 in their T&Cs. I didn't try for any lower.
How did you purchase your eBay gift cards? I ordered mine through Woolworths and it took over the weekend to verify so I missed out on that afterpay deal for the 55". Is there a place that gives you the egiftcards instantly?
@blamewilliam: Macquarie, Suncorp etc.
@blamewilliam: I bought mine through Shopback, they arrived within seconds and had 3% cashback.
Yeah I know, When i started with AP i was on I think $500? but kept using it and paid it out straight away and they boosted me to $2k very quickly - So give it a shot :)
A lot of people are buying it as a monitor rather than a TV. 4K, 120Hz, G-Sync/FreeSync support makes it perfect for PC use.
Imagine buying Oled panel for PC use.
Yeah, the rich colours, perfect blacks, amazing.
Just have a screen saver and maybe hide the task bar, doubt you'll find anything nicer in reality.
@Robc: I'm setting a dark/black background too.
Bought the 55" for my monitor :D
Yeh, imagine…. 1.5 years with no burn in at all so far, and with far superior picture quality than most other people have on their pc's. Imagine
Can it be used for tax write off if used for PC/Work use exclusively , not sure of the ATO will accept it as a work expense , if they do, then an excellent choice
Imagine buying a 48" TV in 2022
That's an interesting perception.
I have a colleague who is looking for a smaller TV but 48" is really the smallest you can buy on the market. He's got a young family and doesn't want the TV to be the centre of family life and hates that a 48" TV will dominate his living room and have everything facing it as the focal point of the room.
Plenty of TVs smaller than 48" available, all the way down to 32". If you mean OLED, there's a 42" being released soon.
Why bro
It’s a first time poster! 🤦♂️
Yeah we need more posters tbh
Neg for a crappy comment.
I logged in just to neg the crappy comment. 😝

Much better. Someone fixed it.
c2 just got announced.
42 inch sweet spot. i want one so bad.
This was $1695 after shopback 15% cashback at the good guys yesterday.
Not a deal. Shopback is cancer. Next time they have a privacy breach you'll realise what the product actually cost you.
Shooting yourself into the sun with a cannon > using Shopback
I don't think this is a deal… but then again, I wasn't following the 48" prices 😅 Just cuz the 55" is/was a similar/cheaper price… does that matter for this specific size/deal 🤔
Cheaper here with free delivery:

I got the 55" at JBHiFi. Asked for a price match to applicance central and they made it $1967 (about 10% cheaper). Then I was able to buy it with 5% discount gift cards, meaning I got the 55" for about $1867.
This seems to be sticker price at several stores, including harvey. I managed to negotiate down to $1850 there a few days ago.
thats 48 inches
