Yeah I'm waiting for a lappy with ryzen 7 5800h and a 3060 GPU for a little cheaper than this.

thats what im looking for, dont mind a 14" screen if it can output in HD.

    • Yeah this CPU is about to be replaced with the I5-12500h/12600h which completely decimate it performance wise.. not a good time to buy unless price goes even lower

Decent deal for a decent light gaming laptop with a great screen. Though if you count 7% cashback from Cashrewards, buying directly from Lenovo is cheaper as it is $129 cashback from $1,849 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/688028

Would have been a great deal a year ago, but considering 1.8k have been its sale price for a good while now and still havent gone down even a single bit, even given recent events and the introduction of 12th gen/6000 series laptops by competitors. It's a bit hard to recommend.

The L5 with 5800h and 3060 was only 1871$ not even a year ago.

Rubbish screen on the one you linked.

For one, the standard' L5's screen is not 'rubbish', it's still better than most panels for laptops at or around this price range. 1080P is still just fine for gaming especially if one care about framerates more and with a laptop 3060 gpu.

For two, the L5 I linked traded worse panel for a better cpu, one can always buy an external monitor down the line to improve their gaming experience, you can't magically upgrade a laptop CPU.

For three, the deal was posted on July 2021, the Legion 5 was still a current gen laptop by then. Now, it's a last gen machine, and chip shortages have eased as seen from the desktop component pricings, there is no reason why Lenovo couldn't make this a more appealing offer by giving us a better discount.
