      If it's leaky you should see a doctor.

    The only good Lee Kum Kee sauce is the Korean marinade. Everyone stopped selling it :-(

    • +3

      Depends on your suburb. Some Coles and Woolies stores would have it. Otherwise, buy from Asian groceries stores.

      Also, if the Korean marinade is for Bulgogi, making it yourself will come out much cheaper (source - I am Korean, and female so my mother and family taught me, and therefore, I know)

        Are your family ok? 600k new cases in SK. So many testing positive and 498 deaths…

        • For the minute, they are. Thank you sincerely for your concern.

          I have heard that slightly distant relatives have passed away so, my family has known loss.

          It doesn't help them that it's Omicron that's taken hold and they're experiencing what we did early this year.

          I'll have to double check with my mum later but, off the top of my head, it's basically;
          * soy sauce (any of the "standard" ones work)
          * brown sugar
          * minced garlic
          * sesame oil
          * roughly ground black pepper
          * apple puree (optional, and can be used to fully replace the brown sugar)
          * roasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

          Mix together and spread and mix in over thinly sliced (with maybe 30-40% fat on it so, "lower grade") meat.
          Let it sit in the fridge for at least 4-6 hours. Best results are ones that are marinated for at least 2 days.

          https://mykoreankitchen.com/bulgogi-korean-bbq-beef/ is also a pretty good recipe and guide for it.

              @foxes28: No worries!

              Korean food is easy to re-create. It's just the sheer time and effort needed to create a full suite of Korean foods that the younger generation, myself included, are less inclined to continue.

              Main case in point is popular version of Kimchi (there's apparently 200+ versions, and I am personally aware of at least 10)

          • @Carmen Sandiego: Sorry another question - would you recommend using apple over pear?

            • +1

              @foxes28: Depends on the apple and pear used honestly.

              Pear is sweeter but, has far more water and therefore, waterlogs the whole recipe.

              Apples are easier to use but, I would suggest using the sweeter ones like Pink Lady or Royal Gala.

        Use it to make Pork Vermicelli noodles. Tried everywhere (Asian stores as well) - no Korean.

  • Sorry, I can only do it when being forced to.

    Don't sell your personal information for $2. I wouldn't don't that.
