Home Loan Refinance $5000 Cashback (Minimum Loan Amount $500,000) @ OneTwo Home Loans

160

Came across this offer from ANZ bank startup which I think is probably market-leading cashback, rates and some bells and whistles. I just did the enquiry (3 questions), so not sure about the full experience yet.

T&C's

If you apply to refinance your existing home loan from another financial institution to OneTwo between 11 March 2022 and 31 March 2022 and settle on or before 30 June 2022, you will receive $5,000 AUD cashback. OneTwo will pay the cashback to the bank account you nominated to make your home loan repayments, within 60 days. Only one cashback amount will be paid per eligible application. Minimum loan amount is $500,000.

This offer is subject to change without notice. This offer may be varied, extended or withdrawn at any time (including prior to 31 March 2022), by OneTwo in its sole and absolute discretion. If OneTwo withdraws this offer prior to 31 March 2022, this offer will remain available to those customers who have applied but have not yet settled as at the date that the offer is withdrawn, on the condition that the loan is settled on or before 30 June 2022. This offer is not available in conjunction with any other promotion and excludes the refinance of existing OneTwo home loans. This offer is subject to OneTwo’s eligibility and lending criteria and is made by OneTwo Finance Pty Ltd ABN 20 637 329 321 Australian Credit Licence 527230.

Seems like a good deal but I wonder what their internet banking and customer service is like?

    • I was with ANZ home loan for 3 years and overall it was good. Much better than their CC department.

  • How much do you generally pay to close a home loan and open a new one?

    • I think the standards like $350. If it's a fixed rate then it might cost some big $$$$ depending on the remaining duration etc… This offer doesn't talk about any establishment fees.

      • From the site:

        No fees#
No application, account keeping or exit fees, as we know every dollar counts.

Late payment and direct debit dishonour fees may apply

      • It doesn't look like OneTwo has any of the standard fees on their end, but even with variable loans you still be slugged the discharge fee from your bank AND government charges associated with title search and changes. In most cases, the two combined will exceed 1k+.

    • I know what you thinking. Get loan. Get 5k.repay loan… Make about 1% in about 60 days… Not bad :)

  • Gq. Not sure, I just did the enquiry and no one has contacted me yet.

I did submitted and will be asking some of the questions.
Is this offering only variable rates or also fixed rate. Any fees while moving from Onetwo to other lender.

Another good offer is matching extra repayment- which gives another 2500 AUD savings.

Looks very interesting. Not sure how is there valuation etc.

The currently don't offer offset, redraw facilities.

Also no investment loans as yet.

No offset account is a deal breaker for many

can't pay down and take money out after then? which means higher interest and that's how they make their money back

    one, two, left hook.

  • Victoria and NSW only?

  • I can't find any reviews or information about this company? Also no redraw or offset yet and no guarantee that these features will be added.
Seems a bit risky if interest rates go up

  • Meh - rather disappointing given this was supposed to be the "digital lending" arm of ANZ. TicToc remains the king in that space - ADI approved (which oddly enough doesn't seem to be the case with OneTwo as it looks like the loans aren't directly funded by ANZ themselves?) and has a true offset. I'm confused why OneTwo was launched in the state that is it in considering they don't even have a redraw facility.

  • Lender got my information but yet to receive the update about next steps. Anyone able to launch the application successfully? Kindly share the exp here.

I did the enq on the 15th and got the call later that day. I was meant to get some docu sign stuff yesterday but only got it this morning. I've set up an appointment for Monday with the lender. I was told it would take a month to complete the refinance. The good news is that there are no upfront costs (inc. valuation)

      • Thanks.

  • Have submitted my details. Waiting for call back
Looks like can make up to $7500 using this deal

Not having offset is a killer though

    • How did you receive a $7.5k bonus? Cheers

      • +1

Seems like $2500 bonus when repaying extra during the first 6 months and they match it 1:1?

Weird how it's an extra $2500 and they don't even seem to advertise it much.

        • Actually looks like this is added to their home page now:

After the first six months of your loan, OneTwo will match your extra repayments, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $2,500. This could help save you thousands over the life of your loan.

  • Anyone want to share their experience?

I'm giving them a try. Seems like they are very busy and struggling to get people in before the end of the promotion period.
