  • Good deal, especially with unlimited international calls.

Agreed! If you’re not in a rush for a good Boost Mobile deal, the 6 months plan fits in perfectly

  • I think you can get 12mths at this price

    • Amaysim had been offering $100 1yr 165GB for existing customers.
Picked up this 6mth plan last year for $15 after cashback.

      • I just checked their yearly plans and they have 2:
        $200 for 165GB
        $120 for 60GB
My boost plan finishes in 2 weeks, are there any good Amaysim deals or others I missed? I couldn't see any like you described

        • Other offers are targetted to existing or past customers. Offers are for their number only.
Targeted $200 165GB 1 year offer was half price for first year.

You can buy a new 1yr boost plan on eBay, hop onto their live chat and ask them to port your current number over

Have heard from other OPs that this has been done before

          • @BargainsGrabber: Does that also apply to existing users.. it's not a recharge?

            • @[Deactivated]: I haven’t tried it myself as this is my first year with Boost

Heard that it applies to existing users, just hop onto the Boost live chat :)

  • Bought and got a tracked from Shopback, $17.50. Not sure if will go through. Shopback only says cash back up to $35.

  • How's the network coverage with them? I'm on Boost, but somehow my house is in a Telstra black spot…

    • +1

      Depends on your location.

    • As per previous reply - depends on your location.
In my home, I have horrendous Telstra reception - there wasn't any justification staying on Telstra being home most of the time.

First time being on Optus network (via Amaysim) for a longggg time (Think 123 era) and the reception is definitely better for me - so I at least have baseline reception.

The only things that surprised me / cons:
      - Drops to 3G while on a call. I know this is intentional and the way it works, but I'm not sure if this impacts internet browsing while on a call.
      - Doesn't look like there will be support for esim for Apple Watch (still limited to the Big 3 - apart from a standalone number option which I don't want)

Apart from that, have been very happy with the switch, the money savings, and ability to port if an attractive JBHiFi deal pops haha

  • This is actually a very good deal if you want international. Telstra signal for me is very patchy, at best. Vodafone and Optus service my area a lot more reliably.
