  • Please clarify price, and direct link to sale not FB.

    • Thanks for the heads up

  • Nice specs but what is the price?

  • +5

Holy Cow, a computer with such low low specs for $1688 O_O. Can build one with 7970 and a decent size SSD for that money…

    • +4

no bargain here just an ad, case doesn't look like it has good air circulation either

  • Yeah the CPU and gpu are underpowered for that price.

I'd expect at least an i5-2500k and a 7970 for that price.

    • The operative word is "at least". I hope that mod case is worth the 50+% premium…

  • +3

lol Pay ~$700 too much for a PC and get a FREE COPY OF A $70 GAME!

  • +1

    More OzAdvertising?

  • And seriously, Diablo 3 does not need a $1600 PC to play.

    • Lucky it is not a $1600 pc… it is a $700 (or lower) pc being sold for $1600

  • +3

Comeon guys, if we want these pathetic ads off this site we gotta neg.

  • yeah its over priced. my 2 yr old gfx card can run this game smoothly although my cpu is i5-2500k.

  • Ads only no bargain.

  • tell me you're joking. this deal is rubbish!

  • -1

As has been said, using D3 as a reason for upgrading is just ignorant.

    • cant agree more.

  • Very bad deal = bad advertising as they are trying to rip us off and deceive us

  • WTH? How is this a deal?

  • SPAM & JOKE The pc is worth only $600 total. $1600 you can definitely buy two set of them.

  • Overpriced middle of the line build, I built my PC with significantly better specs almost a year ago for cheaper than this costs…

  • Terrible deal, that PC can be built for half that price

  • what a laugh they slap diy diablo3 sticker on the side and call it "Diablo 3 Limited Edition Gaming PC" be more dodgy.

  • Waste my time reading the spec!

  • Lol

  • Only 20 sets - I'm sure they'll be snapped up in no time at this price. OzBargained even.

I put together the parts based on the specs at MSY or if the parts weren't available, elsewhere as noted:

    Intel Core i5-2400 3.10Ghz 1155pin Boxed CPU $186.00
    ASUS P8Z77-V-PRO Intel Z77 1155/4xDDR3/SATA3/USB3/WiFi/DP/HDMI/Glan/DVI ATX Motherboard $239.00
    Kingston HyperX 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 1600 KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX $52.00
    WD 3.5" Blue 1TB WD10EALX SATA3 32M 7200rpm HDD $104.00
LG DVD RW - SATA $19.00
    Gigabyte GV-N56GSO-1GI 1GB GTX560 Super Overclocked PCI-E VGA Card $183.00
Corsair CX600 V2 ATX Power Supply Unit $88.00
Microsoft MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM $92.00
SilverStone Fortress FT02S $239 @ Umart or PCCG
Plus throw in maybe $50 (being generous) of LED stuff from PCCG
    Total $1,250.00

    On the build:

They've probably overspent on the mainboard and should've spent more on the 2500K and a significantly better graphics card (since this is a gaming computer for a brand new game). I also think they overspent on the case & LEDs but that's the target market so fair enough. I'd be fine with a Fractal Define R3 + Antec VP550P 550W for ~$210 total (instead of the ~$380 of the D3 build).

I mean the mainboard would make sense if you were planning on SLI-ing, but you wouldn't choose that graphics card for that and they didn't SLI it so… ? The only major plus to it over a board $150 cheaper is the quantity of USB3.0 ports. 8 versus 4.

But yeah. Basically a $400 mark-up for building it, and some odd choices that upped the price in that build, and wasn't really a gaming build.

    • thanks for very clear information here

one more thing, isnt there an ugprade for RAM and Hard disk, so rounding up the cost is closed to the selling price?

I was waiting for someone to do this instead of just cry neg… (was about to start after scanning though the posts)

great work for spending the time to do it tantryl… although they said free, you could add 100 bux for a copy of diablo 3…
id also put in 70-100 bux for building the PC as thats probably a genuine expense that MSY charge for building the PC.
also installing the OS is an extra costs…
we don't know if they do burn in tests either which can cost additional coin.
      but none the less,

are the specs on what you have above (eg 80+ power what you have in your quote?)

still with all the parts extra labour etc, probably only 100 more than getting it from MSY. still not something that should be on ozbargain.

      • Yeah, the CX600 V2 is 80Plus.

  • Straight off the bat, that CPU is pretty bad.

I'd value this build at around $800 tops. (Accounting for delivery etc.)

Diablo III being worth $60 or so, this is no deal.

    • $800 tops? tantryl added it up to around $1250

      • +4

However he's overspec'd a few of those compenents. Their website has a few of the actual specs here http://cityhunterit.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view…

        so Tantryl's $239 Z77 motherboard is actually $139 http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=ASUS+P8Z77-…

Also I find it EXTREMELY dodgy that all the pictures show a Silverstone Fortress FT02 as the case for this PC worth $237 however the Tech specs list an Antec 300v2 Gaming Case, a case worth almost a quarter of that at $72!

I managed to build that entire PC at PC Case Gear for $1063 Including the Asus Overclocked GTX 560 the 925Mhz indicates and the "Free" upgrades to 16GB 1600Mhz RAM and bump to 2TB 7200RPM HDD and I still got it in at $1063. Add on Diablo 3 from JB Hi-Fi and you're looking at $1132 all up

Also on that $300 bonus pack, i have no idea if the fan club membership and launch party passes are actually worth anything, let alone $50 each, but it does not cost $200 to go from 8Gb RAM and 1TB to 16Gb RAM and 2TB, more like $95!

All round bad deal if you can build it yourself.

        • +2

Oh. They lied about the amount of USB3.0 ports and PCI-E 3.0 slots in their OzBargain post, and had a misleading picture of the case.

          That's godamn crazy.

Can I vote negative twice? Once for the bad deal, the second for incredibly misleading as to add ~$300 worth of value advertising?

        • Here's your second negative vote tantryl.

          Definitely advertising / no bargain.

Also; Why direct link to their facebook page rather than their website?

  • You don't need to 'like' their page to post or comment.
I think they'd really appreciate some feedback! ;)

  • Can somebody who still thinking to leave a vote neg, vote neg on my behalf?

    Damn i'm 'new' here…

    • Finally!

      Negged!!!

      • lol love it came back toneg :D good work.

  • An i5 "gaming" machine? Don't think so.

And sorry viento, but I need my neg vote for myself.

  • i lol'd, so overpriced
