No not a bargain in my opinion. I got the 633DC for $139 in March 2020 from Amazon. I really like the fan a lot, the full variable speed control is awesome and it can move some serious air volume when it's cranked, but it's also extremely loud like this. But even at $139 it's debatable on whether it's worth it, I am happy with it but.
I paid about $150 for the 533DC last year. Quite happy with it. It gets very loud if you crank it up to full force, but even with the lower settings it's cooled down my room. Way better than any of the Kmart fans I've owned before.
Not sure any fan over $100 is considered a bargain.
I have two of these which I bought from Vornado direct for $210 each.
They are very quiet on low speed and you can feel the air circulate when you’re lying in bed.
Even at 1/4 turn it’s not too loud and quiet strong.
I mostly prefer the look of them and that makes it worth it for me.I got the 683DC. I think it’s an amazing fan and definitely worth the price. Quiet on low speed and powerful enough. Full speed it is definitely the strongest fan I’ve tested.
