You can argue that it's expensive for what it is (and people do; perhaps it is!) but it's pretty much flawless in what it does, easy to connect to all streaming providers. I don't regret my purchase one bit.

It's the only deal we've posted on ozbargain which we've had multiple people reach out some time after the deal had ended asking us to post it again. I don't think you can use it as a desktop DAC, there's no USB input. Correct me if I am wrong.

No it's not designed to be a standalone DAC for a PC, The USB on the rear of the unit is an output for connection to go to an external DAC.
Purchased in the previous CHT deal - super happy with it.
Replaced Yamaha soundbar (YAS108) with this and a couple of active bookshelf speakers and sub that I had already, and now using it all for TV and music use (Spotify & Plex).

It is a great option to add to active bookshelf speakers as it gives you an eARC connection for connecting to your TV, subwoofer output and high res streaming.

Bought one of these on the last sale from CHT. Very happy with my purchase.
I have found the inbuilt DAC is very good. Down the track I may purchase a separate dac. But I can't justify the cost at the moment, as it sounds great.
